Question about Singer 7442 Mechanical Sewing Machine
Singer Model 9410 cannot find the tension for my fabrics. No even stitch drawn through. Too much on top or too much on bottom. Nothing available. (now using quilt cottons, 2 layers and up to 5 -- all pretty thin). Could the bobbin have something to do with this? Maybe not being wound in its nest correctly?
Also have problems with the pedal. I think the wire got pinched and now it either does a real snail slow stitch or none at all or a quick stitch that slows quickly (the later being if I took my foot off the peddle for a while).
Be sure you are using a Class 66 bobbin for this Singer machine. Using another style bobbin can cause tension problems and thread looping/bunching.

Make sure that the stich did not fall through the top thing. When you re-thread it, do it twice so you know that it is working. If it STILL doesn't work, find the recipt and return that ******!
