Question about Sanyo DS27910 27" TV

TV won't turn on

Hi There, My Sanyo TV won't turn on. I have unplugged it for more than 12 hours hoping that it will reset & then start, but no luck. When I press the power button on the remote, play button also lights up. To me looks like, its stuck in some other mode & thus its switching on. Any suggestion would be of great help. Thanks

Practice visual acuity technique! Solder any/all bad connects.check power supply. Check tactil switches on front of set. Remove chassis, unplug all connectors,re-assemble,try again.

Most times unplugging a washer for 5 min or so will reset to factory. Some units just a quick unplug works too. But I'm not totally familiar with yours.
If it's going to be hard to unplug just turn off the breaker to it.
Hope this helps

We were watching TV and the TV just turned itself off. We try turning it back on and we have a black screen for 10 seconds and then the TV turns itself off again. Called Sanyo and they said to unplug it...

Yes,unplug, replug the tv an hour later. The tv should reset itself back to factory setting and work. Not,than the tv power supply board have problems. That the board, where the power a/c coard plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Can't Turn off Closed Captioning on Sanyo 36 in TV AVM-3658

Hi Hfrohman, This may sound crazy, but, press and hold the power button on the TV while unplugging it, continue to hold power button for 60 seconds or more. Release it and plug TV back in. Sometimes that will clear the settings.

I hope that works for you.

Sanyo TV - HT32744

Lower the contrast first.

If colors not in balance, reduce saturation until "normal" to your eye with whichever color (or color pair) out of balance.

TV comes on to standby, but with record led flashing. pressing power on , power light turns green for 1 second, click from within unit, back to standby with record led flashing

Hi,

Initially, have you tried a full hard reset? If not, pls unplug from the mains. Most current devices would reset and revert back to factory default settings (assuming no internal hardware fault) when unplugged for a considerable period of time (a couple of hours).

Pls post back for any development(s) or even the lack of it.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
