The depth finder on my elite 5 Lowrance blinks if I go over 14 mph. And the screen gets very hot after a few minutes of run time?

Hey Robert,
the blinking is usually the result of the transducer losing contact with the water..
As far as the screen getting hot.. that is not good.. do you have this unit mounted in dash? It needs some ~cooling.. just some airflow..

My elite 7 won't read depth when boat gets on plane

The transducer MUST be in contact with the water for it to operate properly. Check and make sure (if it is a thru-hull) that the ducer isn't in the air when you're planing. I've read that wiping the transducer with Dawn dish detergent speeds up the "wetting" of the transducer and makes for a better contact with the water.

Hope this helps.

Why does my lowrance elite 5 not read bottom when boat is moving

If the unit reads bottom sitting still but doesn't when moving it's due to air bubbles passing over the transducer face. Go to Airmar website and search for installation instructions.

How do i install elite 5 dsi on 14' tiller boat

Install the battery cables to the battery for the gas motor.

Here is a transducer installation guide for Lowrance, this is pretty standard for all transducers. Pay attention to how the boat sits in the water when trolling for level setting to match in water.

The GPS component of my Lowrance Elite-5 Gold is malfunctioning about 50% of the time.

Hey Les, Since you have replace both the unit and transducer, you have eliminated/diagnosed most of your problem.. Its in the wiring... sometime when I am in full GPS mode I get erroneous depth readings..?? Have you tried a different GPS module (the "puck")?

Kenmore elite, oasis, model # 110.2703, at exactly 19 min left, at the starting of the rinse cycle it flashes the F1 code, i push stop then start untill it stays on, usually takes about 4-5 trys

Thank you for your question.

The F1 fault code on this washer indicates that the water level pressure transducer signal is out of range. The pressure transducer air hose tubing being pinched or crimped can cause this. A failed pressure transducer on the machine control board can also cause it.

The first image below shows the method for accessing the pressure transducer tube that runs from the bottom of the washer tub to the machine control. I recommend checking this air hose for pinches, twists or crimps.NOTE: Be sure to unplug the washer to disconnect electrical power before accessing internal components.

If you find no problems with the pressure transducer tube, then the machine control board will need to be replaced. The procedure for accessing and replacing the machine control board is shown in the second image below.
