Here is a .pdf manual for the Electrolux Chainsaws. Most of the parts on these saws are the same. If you know the length of the bar that will make it easier in figuring out which saw you have. If the manual doesn't answer allyour questions, there is a number in the manual you can call. If the saw isn't so old that parts are no longer available, you should be able to order from the company. If you do get the model number and want an alternative location to get parts, try

My adjusting block is worn, can I purchase a new one?

It depends on which saw you have. Are you aware they are no longer in production? Eventually a replacement part will not be available.
You do not give us the model number of your saw to verify this will fit.

• Type "YourModelNumber" into the "Search for your unit by Model:" window, then click search.
• Click the "YourModelNumber" - Remington Electric Chain Saw "View Model" link.
• Click "View Owners Manual" or "View Illustrated Parts Diagram" link.
• Type "YourPartNumber" into the "Search for your parts by Part #:" window, then click search.

A tension repair kit is available here:
Kit fits the following covers: 108640-01, 116675-01 and 108641-02 (note: for the 108641-02 the screw will adjust from the front with a screw driver, not with a thumb screw at the back) KIT INCLUDES: screw, clip & adjustment block. If not available here please reply (below) with that information. TIA

I think your model is 107625. A complete "SPROCKET DRIVE GEAR BEARING KIT 747" part number "122511-01" is listed at $16.99

Are you aware Remington is no longer in production and most replacement parts are exhausted? Before driving to any repair facility please contact them. If you undertake the repair your self please call 1 (800) 475-5660 (have saw within arm reach). Inspect your saw and verify my model number matches your saw.

Please do not punish my rating because you are unhappy with RemingtonPower. I provided a very helpful answer, perhaps not the one you wanted to hear. Sorry

Chain keeps coming off the bar, think it may be a worn out sprocket? Has a special 1/4" sprocket for carving, with a carving bar

There may be other sources also but this one explains how to remove it from your saw.
It says they have 1/4" sprockets for yours and Stihl electrics. GL
If you are properly tensioning it a worn out sprocket can cause this.

Where can i find a sprocket for a remington 16 inch chainsaw?

I suggest you contact Master Parts at 800-446-1446. You also can find them online at They should have the part you need. Just make sure when calling them to have either the part number you need, or the model number of your saw (it should be located on your saw). I hope this helps you!

Unit works but chain stops when pressure applyed, what oil goes resevior.

Does the motor continue to run when chain stops? Electric saws usually don't have a clutch, so I would look for badly-worn chain sprocket, or a possible sheared key in the sprocket hub, or a loose mounting nut. Remove the chain and bar, try to turn the sprocket by hand (wear good gloves). There may be some type of overload clutch built into the sprocket.
