You need automotive advice, not video game console advice, but I would hasten a guess that it's either out of alignment, the tires are too worn on one side, the ball joints are going bad, and/or the tires are out of balance.

2002 Toyota Tundra shimmies when braking. Just raplaced rotors and pads and didn't fix problem.

Who is doing the work on your truck ?

Did they put in the problem or never
were asked to resolve it?

You can pretty much tell as you remove
brake parts, if they were in any way related
to the shimmy.

Sounds to me that issue has never been worked on

2007 DODGE RAM 1500 CASTER ON RIGHT SIDE WONT COME INTO SPEC GETTING SOME SHIMMY?? truck has 95,000 miles was last aligned with about 40,000 miles after a tire blowout and a bent rim alignment was...

The actual caster spec is not very significant - the handling is what counts. The caster will not cause a shimmy. Shimmy could be caused by tire problems, worn or damaged steering or suspension parts, bad shock absorbers or a bent wheel. As long as the vehicle does not pull and the handling is satisfactory, the caster is OK, If the tires are not wearing and the vehicle hamdles OK - don't worry about "specs." I have done a LOT of alignments where the readings did not match the specs, but the result was satisfactory.

2001 Ford Ranger SRS brakeks and bearing problems

Your truck has sealed bearings in the front but they can go bad after several miles. If the truck is not stopping straight or you are getting a pulse through the break pedal (and sometimes a shimmy in the steering) then it's time to replace the rotors and pads. If the truck is stopping and driving fine then I wouldn't worry about it.

My truck shakes too

Is it time for a tune up? Could be water getting into one of the coil packs which will cause a misfire under acceleration.

Shimmy in front end

Try greasing the Idler arm and Tie rod ends. The grease will take some of the play out and if the shimmy is gone then it's time to replace steering components. Common is the Idler and Pitmen arm that causes the shimmying.
If the shimmy is still there, then it's time for a front wheel alignment. As the suburban get's older, the suspension settles down lower each year and the geometry to the front steering system may need to be adjusted for that. On the 4X4 the ride height can be adjusted by turning the torsion bars to achieve the proper ride height again, as for the 2WD then it's going to be a coil spring replacement.
The easy way out is to just adjust the front wheel alingment to compensate for the shimmying. ]
Good luck and hope this helps. Just make sure you find a font end person who knows what he or she is doing and not by what a machine is telling it to do. The tech must know that there must be an angel to the tie rod end so when you go over a bump you don't get what they call a bump steer where the truck will want to pull to one side.

I have a 1998 olds bravada. when driving, the truck shimmys from side to side. Ball joints are good, tie rods good, hubs are good and alignment is good. small amount of play in both idler arm and pittman...

I don,t think this can cause a shimmy, there should only be some play in the steering wheel. Check the tirs and see if any belts are broken wthin and for visible bulges, this can cause a shimmy. Also if you are not the original owner, is it possible that someone hit a curbe and bent the spindle a tad. I knew of a GMC Safari that had this problem.
