You need to check the vga cable or try another one, also try plugging into a different screen, usually Fn key + F2 will switch it over, try right clicking on desktop and adjusting resolution there should be an option to output to an external screen, show desktop on both and extend the desktop try messing with these, it may be disabled in the bios if so reboot computer go in to bios it will tell you to press a certain button usually F1/F2/delete then change and save restart, hope this info helps good luck
