If does not work, you may have to format (use quick format) the drive and then use recovery software to recover your files. Here's some information about format recovery, think you need to take a look, very useful how to recover formatted files
You are Toast! The last thing a technician wants to do is format a hard disk. A good format erases everything (all the software and corrupted software) and the hard-drive has the smallest amount of information on it (software) waiting to be shaped by the DVD's (Software) you are going to load it up with.
If you have a bad hard-drive you need to determine if it is a software problem or a hardware problem. Some times it is both. If it is software you can delete the program and re-install it. if it is a hardware / software problem you can run a scandisk program and other utilities to fix bad sections on the hard-drive. Electrically cut off bad sections so no memory 1's and 0's will be stored on bad sections of the magnetic hard-disk. Then you can delete bad programs and re-install them.
Sometime the hard-drive fails due to hardware problems. My favorite story is the comparison of the pickup head gliding over a hard disk (metal) and occasionally crashing to an airplane flying 600mph over the earth. Where the airplane would be destroyed if it hit the earth, in the hard-drive the pick-up head gouges out parts of the metal disk.
So your solutions: Buy a new hard drive and format it or take the unit in to be repaired. Hope you have made your restore disks.
My first thought is that if you reformat your laptop and it crashes, sounds like a hardware (most common: memory or hard drive) problem.
But, you've tested / replaced the memory and the hard drive. Be certain that you have the correct memory for this laptop. Also, run hardware diagnostics.
When you reformat, don't add anything. Just the operating system. Boot it and test for awhile to see if the operating system is stable. Then, add software one at a time and test each time. It may be a long process, but it's possible that your software may be infecting your system.
Hi, You can try to format the mp3 player. Go through: Setting>Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Computer Management>Disk management> Try to format it with fat files system. hope this help you Regards uttam

After downloading the file you need to install this. After installation, launch the software, and select the Flash Drive Letter and try formatting. If this does'nt work, plz let me know and I'll give you one more alternative.
i recently bought a sony flash drive SSK/2GB.however the same is not working at all as it is showing RAW file system instead of FAT 32 .neither it is getting formatted nor allowing anything else to b doneto it.
