IF you have an uneven load this can happen, If the dryer has shifted in position and is no longer LEVEL or the feet have changed their distance leaving a gap or open space. The dryer can also move from vibration and be leaning against a wall or the washer next to it. Check that first, and if none of the above, then the drum may be misaligned. A belt could stretch. The shaft of the drum fits into a connecting part that may be worn and out of round or bearings are worn.
Hey Steve, I appreciate your post!
From the information you have provided your Frigidaire dryer runs properly and makes a vibration noise. This could be due to leveling within the dryer and I would suggest checking to make sure the dryer is leveled. You can do that by using a leveling tool, these can be found at a local hardware store. If your dryer is leveled I would recommend having a technician out to make sure the motor or drum are operating properly. I hope this information is helpful to you. -Matt
I understand your Frigidaire dryer, model# GLER642A, is making a thumping noise when running, and you want to know how to fix this. Typically, this is not a do it yourself repair, as there are no step by step instruction manuals. I suggest contacting your local authorized technician. They will be able to diagnose your appliance and determine what is causing the thumping noise. Hope this is helpful.
I understand you are receiving a bad motor vibration on your Frigidaire dryer. I see that you replaced the fins on the blower, only to have them break again. I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your appliance and determine what is causing the vibration noise, as well as the blower fins to break. Hope this is helpful.
Based on the above-listed model number, FEX831CS it shows you have a Frigidaire laundry center. However, you mentioned that it is a gallery series. So do you have a laundry center or a Frigidaire gallery dryer? In order to better address the issue, what is your model number? You can typically locate the serial tag, which lists your model number, on the right or left edge on the inside of the door. How often do you hear the ticking or clicking noise? With this information I can better assist you. Thank you!
