Fabric softener will help. If you are using softner sheets, try using softener in the wash instead.

I have a 5.5kg Top Load Fisher & Paykel Washing Machine MW512. The clothes seem to come out with alot of dust particles on them. Is there somewhere in the washing machine where it is collecting this...

Hi - are these particles kinda ash grey black in colour? if they are then the bellows have sprung a leak.. unfortunartely the only way is to replace the inner stainless drum.

Inspect the top of the bowl for any signs of structural damage along the grey plastic housing as it contains very fine sand used to counter balance the inner bowl.. on rare ocassions these leaks and give you the particle effect similar to what you've described..

How to remove the front panel holding the air louvers...

We have a FAC127P1A and if you gently pull the lower cover by holding each side where there is an indentation it will lower so you can get to the filter. Then either replace or wash the filter. We have another model, FAA087P7A1, and we were able to pull the cover down and lift up slightly and remove the cover and wash to remove the collection of dust, etc.

On this latter model there is a collection of dust, etc. in the area where the cooling is blown into the room that I would like to know how to remove for cleaning. I feel it is unhealthy the way it is now and would like to clean it before removing for the season. I know I could use q-tips or a small piece of cloth to clean but that is pain staking.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I need to defrost my freezer and have never done it. I want to do it right. Are there any suggestions?

switch off, open door(s) put a cloth in the bottom of the unit to collect drips(lots of em), remove and wash interior shelves/racks.. when fully defrosted, wipe interior out with damp cloth dipped in clorine bleach and let dry, then, wipe out with bicarb(removes all smells.blow out any drain holes with clorine and vacuum all vents to remove dust.
When dry close doors and switch unit back on,leave to return to normal temp(-18/20)the fuller the freezer is once reloaded the quicker it will reach operating temp.DO NOT USE ANY HOT WATER/STEAM TO DEFROST UNIT........

Oil on clothes front loading kenmore washing machine 7 years old

Oil cannot get on clothes from a front loader . It's probably the liquid fabric softener you are using . Either try a different brand , use dryer sheets instead , or make sure the water temperature is correct for the softner . Also check the front drum seal , for built up , undisolved softner , collecting " gunk " which may be getting on the clothes .

How do i clean out the filter for my GW711 excellence top loader washing machine? everything keeps coming out completely covered in lindt and undissolved washing powder. I cant seem to find out how to...

It doesnt have one, try the following- use high quality detergent- like tide. Do a full wash with nothing in it every now and then, separate lights and darks and towels/fluffy stuff from synthetics, use a less rigorous wash- like wool or permanent press. If none of that works, ring up the manufacturer and complain

Belt sander clogged dust collection

What have you been sanding?  Make sure the sander is unplugged. Remove the dust collector bag and use a flexible wire, like a coat hanger, to free the clogged material from the dust tube.  Replace bag and sand away!  Hope this solution works for you.  Michael Mittelsdorf

Dust collector

dust collectors usually work off the motor via a fan. Either the fan is broken or the bag is blocked up.If the bag is too dirty inside you don't get any airflow through the bag which can stop it collecting. A good wash should do the trick
