REmove cartridge, and open rear door, might be all scrunched in very back fuser unit, if you can't remove it without damaging the rollers then it will need to be pulled to bits

SOURCE: PAPER JAME CODE 13

Try looking for the jam from the rear of the printer. Also, using one of those compressed air cans, blow all the paper dust our of your printer, because the sensors usually are photo-electronic sensors, and paper dust wil register a paper jam, even when no paper is in the printer.

SOURCE: paper logjam

There is a line of sensors along the paper path, if any of these are obscured by even the smallest scrap of paper you will get the messasge, re check the paper path again it only needs a scrap of paper, if you can spot any of the sensors give them a blow with some compressed air (paper dust build up), last but worth a try unplug for 2 minutes to allow residual power to drain and then try power up and see if the message has cleared

Remove tray 1 feeder assembly and check the paper flag sensor. It's probably jammed. Free it up with your finger.

I have a Lexmark E240n printer. It keeps jamming at the same spot each time I try to print. Checked and tested the entry and exit switches. Checked good. All gears are turning smoothly. The paper jams...

does the exit switch stick up in the back of the fuser into the paper path? I've had to replace lots of the exit sensor flags because the top half was broken off while clearing a paper jam.

You'll probably have to replace the exit sensor. Go to YouTube and watch this video: 5fJHykzkfww

You can get the part on eBay for about $10 and it's a fairly simple 15 minute fix.

Hi,

most likly hood is your exit sensor is faulty. The printer work in this way. if it does not print out all the document. it will print again. that is why you kept getting this same issue after a jam open and close door it will print again.

replace the exit sensor it will help.

CLX 2160 - paperjam

There is probably a jam in the paper feed area. Pull the paper tray out and stick your hand in to find and remove any paper stuck there. Then reinstall the paper tray and open and close the front door of the printer. The jam should be cleared.

If it is still showing paper jam, pull the tray out again and look to make sure you didn't miss any paper, then check the other areas of the printer (starting with the exit area) for paper.

Paper jam, but no paper in the machine

This one is easy, its yoru exit sensor, the only sensor in the scanner "looking" up, so dust sits on it untill it thinks its paper. slide in a cotton bud or blow air in the small recess between the 2 black exit rollers visable where the paper exits from.

let me know how you get on.

Lexmark x215 paperjam #2

The exit sensor is defective if the paper has left the printer
completely but it appears
paperjam #2.
Once the paper has left completely, the exit actuator
must return to the original position to close photo sensor. Sometimes takes
more time than it had and it does not return.

The actuator can be deformed by the temperature.

Papaerjam lite stays on, no paper jam

It is possible that there may still be a small piece of paper blocking or lodged in the exit sensor area. It is also possible that when removing the jammed paper that the sensor arm became dislodged and thus creating a false jam code.
