Question about Boating
Insure battery connections are good and if so try Tapping lightly on the solenoid while trying to crank the engine. If it cranks, replace the solenoid, if it doesnt you may need a starter. Insure battery voltage is getting to the solenoid large terminals while the key is in cranking position. the large terminals on the solenoid. You can tap lightly on the starter also if your getting power to the starter but its not cranking.. LIGHTLY Tap. The brushes inside the starter may be stuck. These are typical first things to try.
