How to reset the bios to factory default on Asrock P4I45GV R5 Motherboard

Enter the BIOS using the key that the POST screen indicates. After entering the BIOS, you should be able to navigate to a tab that says "restore factory defaults" (or something similar). This will allow you to reset your BIOS settings to default.

Hi,

Go to your bios again set it to default and then restart it.

If nothing happens you need to use your operating system disc to fix that.

Set your first boot sequence to CD first.

Hpe that helps you out!

thanks for using Fixya!

Most Asus motherboards by default have the USB ports enabled in the bios.
Buy the item, Y adapter below to bypass the PS/2 keyboard port on the motherboard; http://www.cablestogo.com/product.asp?cat_id=1538&sku=27225
You should be able to enter the bios using a USB port. Or buy a single PS/2 to USB; http://www.cablestogo.com/product.asp?cat_id=1538&sku=35700

How to install bios setup

You don't install a bios setup. It is on each motherboard already. A chip ( called the bios chip ) has the setup on it. You just need to enter it, when the computer first boots. There should be a time, when on the screen it says something like " hit F2 to enter bios". Some computers and older ones had different ways to enter the bios, and your manual should say.
If by chance you are asking on how to upgrade your bios, reply and I will give those instructions.

Good Luck
