The Konica Minolta Maxxum 5xi QD is a 35mm film camera and does not use an SD card. If you want your photos taken on an SD card, you will need to get a digital SLR.

Hope that helps,
Bax

How do I download pictures from a SD card to my computer?

With the SD card plugged into the computer, go to "My Computer" if XP, "Computer" if Windows Vista or 7, or "This PC" if Windows 8.

You should see the SD Card listed as a drive with a letter like D: or E:, double click it, then look for your pictures on the SD Card, hint - they may be under a folder called DCIM.

Once you find your pictures, highlight them and right click, choose copy, then click "Pictures" on the left side in the folder tree, and right click the space to the right where your pictures are located. Click paste.

That should put your pictures into your "My Pictures" folder.

I placed a dvd into my laptop and want to transfer the pictures to a sd memory card to use in my digital picture frame. How do I do this? I use a hp pavillion laptop

The things you will require :
1. memory card reader (you have a HP pavillion so hopefully it has a card reader).

Put the memory card in the card reader slot or you can connect the picture frame directly if it has a usb plug.

You can use windows key + E on the keyboard to access the file explorer.

Access the dvd and goto the folder where you have the pictures stored mostly the dvd drive is the one with E:

choose all the pictures you want to send over to the MC(memory card) by pressing the Cltr key on the keyboard and then left clicking once on the desired pictures, this should high light them (i recommend doing this in batches as any wayward click and the highlights will vanish) then right click once on any of the pics and then choose copy.

access the memory card which is mostly F: and then in there again right click once and then choose the paste option, this should do it, repeat as many times as necessary.

Hope this helped.

How can you import pictures in inbox on cell phone to the microchip SD 2gb inserted in phone?

Micro SD cards for cell phones are now costing less and are holding more memory. 4GB SD cards can hold an estimated 1000 songs, over 13,000 images, or 22 hours of video individually. 2GB memory cards hold roughly half those estimates and 8GB SD cards would hold double. So if your cell phonemag-glass_10x10.gif has a SD card slot learn how to utilize this expandable memory option on your device. Follow these steps and you will soon be enjoying your music, pictures, and video on your phone!
  1. Insert your SD memory card adaptor (with micro SD card inserted) into your SD Card drive on your computer. This should open a "Secure Digital Storage Device" or similar window. If not, go to "My Computer" to locate your SD card and open it.
  2. Step 2 To transfer picture files to your SD memory card, open the folder or file that your pictures are stored on. Simply click and drag a file or multiple files and drop them into your SD Card window or folder. You can also copy a picture and then paste it to the SD Card.
  3. Step 3 To transfer music files to your SD memory card, open your "My Music" folder. Select the folder where you are going to get the music from (Itunes, Yahoo Music...). Click, drag, and drop the files into the SD Card window or copy and paste them in.
  4. Step 4 To transfer video files to your SD memory card, open your "My Videos" folder. Select the folder where you are going to get the video from. Click, drag, and drop the files into the SD Card window or copy and paste them in.
  5. Step 5 Take out the SD memory card adaptor from its drive. Remove the Micro SD card (small chip for your phone) and insert it into the SD Card drive on your Blackberry, IPhone, or other compatible cell phone.
  6. Step 6 Go to your media, picture, or music folder in your cell phonesmag-glass_10x10.gif menu. Select which item you are looking for and your files will appear!

Missing pictures

Lets check the SD card first.

Take out the SD card and put it in external card reader connected to computer.

Copy/transfer all the photos from the SD card to computer.

goto My Computer and right-click the 'Removable Disk' (the SD card drive) and click Properties.
click Tools and click Error checking - Check now button
select the option 'automatically fix file-system errors' and click Start button.
if any errors was found and fixed, you can also Format the SD card. And your SD card should not drop photos again.

Now put SD card back in the camera.

Now take 20 test photos and check if something is missing.
if not take 20 more test photos and check if something is missing.
if all is ok then you can delete all test photos and start taking normal photos.

Sounds like you are not tackling this the right way.

The proper way is to connect your camera using a USB to mini-D connector direct to the laptop. Use the Import facility to transfer the images to a folder.

Failing that, you don't Copy and Paste, you Right Click Drag.

Insert the SD Card into the laptop slot or a Card Reader to USB. Open File Explorer. Click on the SD card at the bottom of the left hand pane. Highlight the images you want in the right pane, either individually, or multiple (hold down CTRL key, click each one, or hold down SHIFT key, click beginning of block and then end of block of images). Now the clever stuff, Right Click and Drag the images to the folder on the left of the two panes, release the Right Click and choose Copy Here, or Move Here.

I would transfer all the images to your laptop, Format the SD Card in the Camera, and then transfer any images back to the camera if you need, but really, the SD card should be for capturing the images and the computer hard drive for storage, plus backups to Memory Sticks or External Hard Drive.

You can also try using Windows to Repair the Drive (SD Card). Right Click on the SD Card, Properties, Tools, Check for Errors.
