Question about Cyber Acoustics CA-2016 Computer Speakers

Computer speaker installation

They are older speakers to an older computer. The speakers work because they play sound when a cd is in drive. I get no AOL sounds though, and no other sounds come out when i've downloaded a song.

I plugged in my Altec AP3 Speakers to my computer running windows 7. It does not play. i get sound directly from my PC (it had sound prior to plugging in speakers) however the Altec speakers have no sound

Hello
You haven't specified from which computer source you connects this device with. If it is from the audio out socket of the PC, your PC's audio card [or onboard audio] dirive hasn't been installed yet. Unlike WinXP, Win-7 haven't all driver software in its driver cab when it is installed. If onboard sound should energize, the mother board CD should be loaded. There is audio and video drive [normally NVIDIA] drive should be installed. Anyway, you have to install the dirve. Now it disabled. Go to the hardware confujuration of your system, and look whether onboard audio is disabled. If it is disabled, inable it. If there is no driver installed to it, the system will ask CD. Then insert the CD into the CD tray, and follow the instructions. If your Win-7 is registered, you can get diretly into Microsoft site, and can download the driver needed. OK.

Well they were completely delted and uninstalled from my computer where do i get the installation cd for the speakers or where can i download what's on the cd from the internet?

Howdy. Those speakers do not require drivers. Your speaker set up is dealt with in audio set up in most versions of windows and most Macs. Almost all speakers are plug and play now. If you are having audio issues, it is usually the sound card or sound drivers. To check for sound issues, you can use a sat of headphones to test the audio connection, it helps isolate the issue to either the speakers or the computer. If you still run into trouble, check back and we will get you going somehow:) Good luck.

My Dell A225 Speakers do not play audio- just the computer sounds.

Test this setup with your walkman/ipod.

The most likely problem is in your computer's mixer selection.

Put a CD into your computer drive and play this CD.

If the CD audio output is low then dial up the mixer CD output.

If you do not has audio via CD at all then the CD drive to sound card audio cable is disconnected.

On my G5 1.8 single processor PMac the sound is deteriorating; what may i do to fix it? I play the same CD in my home system and there is not distortion but there is in the Mac even when using headphones....

make sure the power coder is pulled before you do any thing.
also borrow a pair of speakers that are known to work

yes there is a way to replace the sound cards.but i don't think they deteriorate.it sounds like three things can
be wrong. one your speakers.your speakers could be at fault .two your cd drive.try a a pair of speaker
that are know to work.with the original drive.

if you can and aren't afraid of opening up your case wich you got to do
to replace anything.borrow a compatible cd drive frome someone that knows that it works fine
also borrow a pair of speakers that are known to work and
take the cords that are hook up to your and cd drive and hook them up to the borrowed drive. you can let
it dangle there instead of putting it in the tower . turn on your computer and wait about 5 min and then try the
cd.if the sound is good problem solved..

the last problem could be that your sound card is bad or a driver is not installed

Speakers aren't working

Is speaker Power indicator is working fine ?
If not, then u need to repair ur speaker.

If Power is fine then follow the steps :
1. Play any MP3 files in any media player. Did u get any error ? if yes then u need DRIVER for ur sound card.
2. If player plays file, and e\equalizer of player is animated then please check speaker jack(back of ur MotherBoard)
3. If still problem then please check configuration from control panel of your windows.may be volume of speaker is muted

If you have any problem let me know.

I have a problem with my speakers..

Hi Crixxe

You must have recieved the asrock chipset or motherboard driver cd,
1) Insert the asrock driver CD in CD/DVD rom drive.
2) Go through the automated installation of all the drivers.
3) Connect your speakers properly with computer. Make sure that the volume is on.
4)Restart the computer after installing drivers.
5) Now you should be able to play the sounds on your computer,

It's not your cd-rom but more likely your speakers. Borrow or swap your current speakers that you know work & sound good.
If they sound good on your system. You need new speakers. If the sound is still disorted. Than your sound card can be
defective or the sound out-put jack is not getting a good connection. Without the Pc model number & Mfg's make I can not go any fauther with suggestions.
