i have a harness that fits but it's for a panasonic or pioneer or sumthing and i guess the colors are diffrent.. i looked at the manual and it shows wires but theres two rows of wires and it only shows one. ive tired all day to make it work but i can't seem to. hope the things not broke and im not wasting my time.
Okay there are 2 possible solutions depending on your problem
Number 1 If its the lead that plugs into the back of the headunit then this is the page you need Click Here All you have to do is choose the one you need! just look at how many pins there are pretty simple to work out
Number 2 If its the lead that plugs in from your car loom to the headunit loom then you need to look here and pick out your car
I'm not completely sure of what the problem is. Normally, when you purchase a receiver, you get a wiring harness with it. That harness is meant to be plugged into the receiver and connected into the vehicle wiring according to the diagram in your manual.
You also need the color codes of the wiring coming from your vehicle's original radio harness. And unless, you are willing to cut or tap into the vehicle wiring, it's best to purchase an aftermarket harness specific to your vehicle. These are made by Metra, Scosche, and others, and are well worth the $10-15 they cost. You simply plug it into the original vehicle wiring and match up the function of each wire according to your Kenwood manual. You can find a harness for most every make and model of vehicle here: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/cat_i95_wiring-harnesses.html. SonicElectronix also has replacement harnesses for many aftermarket receivers, including the Kenwood.
Hope this helps. If it does, please rate as "FixYa".
