motherboard has user manual try to read it again, if you do not have manual then use a magnifying glass look for word abbreviated: Pwr- power switch, Re-re-set power, Hd- hard drive etc.. this is where you connect the wire, LED light etc.

Hi I Have an abit fatal1ty an8 sli and it is giving me a CF code. what does this mean?

Bad or loose connection to condenser fan faulty intergrated circuit (board) or control board triac. Apparently this one is activated by the board with a triac that checks to see if everything is all propah before firing up that fan. This is just a guess I have not a clue.
or you
click start control panel administrive tools computer management then select event viewer depending on what operating sytem you have this may vary
extend the events there you will see errors in red you will no what exactly what the error was and at what time it occured you might have to uninstall then reinstall the program and its files

i hope this will help you

8.3. 9.0. 4.0. post codes when attempting to boot up.

code 8.3: 12V 4 pin plug disconnected or power supply damage. Check connection /test PSU
code 9.0: OC too high (possible bios damage) clear CMOS as 1st resort

Not sure about 4.0 but 0.4 indicates memory module failure.

Have you overclocked the board? The codes would indicate you went a bit over the top if you did. I'd clear the cmos and check the PSU and reseat the ram and start from the vanilla settings, hopefully the bios chip is not blown

I want to download the drivers, but its not with my computer . I am without the internet at this time. My computer has no sound too. I need all the drivers.

You can't download the drivers without the internet unless Abit kindly agree to giving you a cabled connection to their servers!
Also if you have no internet it begs the question how you posted your problem? If you used a public computer or a friends then go back with a USB flash drive and d/load the drivers onto that and take it home.

This seems to be a common problem with this board. That error could mean any number of things from a loose cable to a fried chip. Flashing bios will not get rid of the problem.

Take a look at this article.
