Question about Motorola Mobility E815

Single Beep at 1:46 AM!!

I have had my phone for over a year and a half. In the last 2 months, the phone started to beep a single beep at exactly 1:46 am each morning! I had Verizon check it out and there is nothing set to go off. I called Motorola and they never heard of anything like it. I removed the battery, did a Master Reset, did a Master Clear, had the software removed and put on again, and it still did it. So, finally, Verizon agreed to replace the handset. I got it, reloaded my contacts, loaded only a few older pictures and ringtones that I've had for over a year and never had a problem with, and guess what? The new handset beeps at 1:46 am every morning!!!! I have done another Master Clear on this one to see if it will make any difference, but any other ideas would be very appreciated!!

I FIGURED IT OUT!!!!   I finally found someone at Verizon who knew something!  It is the Backup Assistant causing the beep. When it synchronizes with your contact list, it beeps on some phones for some reason. They used to have an option where you could manually synchronize it, but they've removed that now.

You stated Backup Assistant as the problem, but what is the solution? Do I have to remove Backup Assistant, or is there another solution? I recently started having the same problem. I hear a single beep at 4:00am every morning. The external screen says "Open flip to continue" and when i open it the internal screen is all white. In order ot clear it, I have to power off then back on. Since I just recently subscribed to Backup Assistant, I'm guessing it is also causing this.

To disable the Bluetooth link
Press and HOLD the Bluetooth button on the microphone until you hear a double-beep. You
may hear 1 or 2 single beeps, just keep holding the button until you hear a double-beep. The
Bluetooth light on the CB should remain dark.

To re-enable the Bluetooth link

A single continuous beep on boot up usually indicates a stuck key on your keyboard.

My PS3 has had the YLOD 3 times now and I've repaired every time myself. Each time I repaired it last about 6months before it gets hit by the YLOD again. After repairing the console for a 3rd time I was...

Thank You..... Thank You... Thank you.. for answering your own question :) I was going through the exact same thing and couldn't figure it out for the life of me. Only difference was this was only my second re-flow. I know I did everything perfect too. Because like you mine last 6-8 month's. Not two weeks some some who don't put the added tlc needed. After reading your solution I noticed that because of the way that ribbon bends. Some of the beads were protruding from the ribbon. So I pushed them down with a plastic fork prong so I wouldn't rip it. Then flipped the ribbon so it wouldn't bend over the end again. Thank you again Chilled....

My 915-m5 mb starts but have no video. No sound except for fans and hd are noted, but no signal video is seen in monitor. Please answer to joitod@coqui.net at your earliest convenience. Thanks

do you get a single beep about 2 to 5 seconds after the system is powered up..? If no, then your mainboard IS NOT working. The fans and hard drives will still spin up even if the mainboard is not booting. You need to listen for that single beep as this tells you that the boards POST (power on self test) has completed and all is well. If it does not beep, then you have a mainboard issue. Reply to this and tell us if you hear this beep or not..

At startup get long single beep which then repeats

What you are hearing is an audible fault code. I am faily sure that the single long beep is telling you that a memory stick is bad. Try removing and then re-installing any and all ram sticks from the board. If you have more then one, re-install them one at a time to see which one causes the beep. If either or both of them continue to cause the beep, replace them. You can also head to the gigabyte web site and check out exactly what the single long beep means. It's a good idea to download all the codes as these codes are very helpful and if you intend to use this board for a while yet, its handy to have them on hand but print them out coz if your PC goes down again, you cannot read them if they are still on that PC.
