SOURCE: FO-P610 Fax problem
I have the same problem, incorrect film, check film. Arrrrrgh...
After been trying about for 2 hrs to fix this stupid problem.
Eventually I tried a trick to cheat the machine. It works for me.
This is what I do.
It reads the old film. So, cut out about 3 pages length of old film.
Join the old film to the new film starting point. Make sure you have the same side for both film(one side will scratch, but not the other side). To find if you have a right side, use a sticky tape (Sellotape) to stick and pull off and you will see the black thingy come off.
One end of Old film join to the new film, the other end join to the roller. Make sure you stick the full width of the joint but not just abit.
Now roll back the new film side with old film. Load to the fax machine.
The fax machine now will check film (of course we have the old film for the first section for him to check).
Film check Passed.
Now make a few copy (Photocopy) documents until you are satisfied with the resolutions, approx 4 pages.
then Bingo, you got new film in it and no more check film.
And touch wood that I don't need to open the cover again till it finished!
