it sounds like the problem may be in the boiler and not the controller itself. Do you kno which is are the two wores that are the r-w for the thermostat take and purt them together and see if the boiler stays on or shuts off like it does with the thermostat. If it does then replace the reciever. If it doesn't then you have another problem. Good Luck

The proper way to do it would be to use a small piece of wire stripped at the ends. Then use a small amount fo solder on each end to connect RC to RH. Or use a small piece of solid(stiff) wire and strip the ends. The wrap the ends around the connector and crimp them to make contact. I would not use a paper clip. A paper clip is not designed to carry 24volt current and could melt.

SOURCE: I HAVE A HONEYWELL T8600D
pknab, I have the same problem. And it comes down a few things: 1) the flashing 1:00 indicates that you've lost power, and the system needs to be reset. 2) Reset means taking out the batteries for longer than 5 minutes. 3) You have to change your filter monthly. There's one in the cold air return and another one in the furnace. If you don't, your FURNACE may be causing number one (my conjecture). 4) We had an electrical storm 2 days ago--nothing else in the house lost its sense of time...but...well...the online operating manual is difficult to find try http://customer.honeywell.com/techlit/pdf/69-0000s/69-1400.pdf or http://dl.owneriq.net/e/e67c2c91-73c2-4bd8-abc8-91d843a27658.pdf (but it doesn't tell us this stuff...I'm still looking for the meaning of the EEE in the display..perhaps I have repowered the thermostat/furnace in the wrong order).
