Maybe there is a sensor or a thermostate in it? check owners manual or call the company? just a thought.

I replaced the thermal fuse because there was no heat. Now the dryer over heats and shuts off. Everything checks ok on ohm meter. The timer works in the "no heat" mode. Could it be the timer...

after you changed the thermal fuse did you clean out the dryer and the vent line?if not you blew the fuse again and it will keep doing this until you clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into, vac and blow out the motor and the cabinet where the motor is and blow out the vent line,if it's a long run remove the vent line from the back of the dryer and blow it out with a leaf blower.the dryer went over 300 degrees from lint buildup and popped the thermal fuse,it's a safety so the dryer doesn't run hot and start a fire.if the dryer is running and sfter like 20 minutes it shuts down and won't start for a while until it cools down then the motor is bad also probably from the dryer running to hot from the lint build up.

Dryer heats up buts keeps shutting off?

It could be the blower air velocity if not then you have a bad winding in the motor.Motor gets hot and shuts off and then comes back on
after it cools. Also it could very well be the vent crushed by the dryer.

After 20 minutes my whirlpool LGR3624EQ0 dryer

Your motor is bad on this unit or your saftey t-stat is stopping so it won't over heat. Look at the t-stat first. Hope this helps!

Kenmore dryer shuts off after five minutes

The vent box inside the dryer still has lint in it. You need to reach way inside to get at it. Turn power off.

Gas dryer heats fine but shuts down before the drying cycle is over taking longer to dry clothes. Lint trap and exhaust tube cleaned out.

You are going to most likely need a vent cleaning. The dryer is getting too hot and shutting off because it is not exhausting good.
