Hi, we had a similar problem on an old work microwave, and to get that to work, pushing ANY key allowed the unit to work, regardless of clock setting.
Worth a try.

I am suspecting that your microwave has cheap chinese relays inside and instead of plating the part where electricity goes through with a high temperature metal that is a thick enough coating they used a cheaper metal. When they do that a relay arcs an spot welds itself open or closed. A strong tap on the control board (once taken apart) will release it. I advise to have a look at the control board for overheating, or burnt circuit board traces as well.

The control panel no longer displays numbers

Hi,if the display is a bluish-green color when it working it is most likely a vacuum flourescent display it is a type of tube that has very fine filament wires in it heated by a low voltage supplied by the control circuit board if this voltage is missing the unit will function but you won't see any display at all sometimes the soldered connections to the tube will fail and depending what ones come loose you can lose parts of the display but if it is all out it could be the filament connections to the display tube these are usually a row of flat thin tabs that connect to the circuit board the filament connections are usually the first two on each end of the row.if they are ok then furthe troubleshooting will be needed to determine if any voltages are missing.M any repair shops just swap the bad control panal for a new one but that could get expensive.I try to service all circuit boards to the component level but sometimes you have enough problems its better to change it IF,big IF a new one is available. Good luck.

I have a that microwave gh7208xrs that shows a error code F7 HVSMPS feedback

The controller is not getting the high voltage switched-mode power supply feedback signal.

Sometimes this is due to a defect on the HVSMPS (inverter) or a bad connection from the HVSMPS to the controller.

Due to the voltages involved, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person attempt to troubleshoot an inverter.

In the event that you or someone you know wants to look into it, see these safety warnings first.

There should be a "mini-manual" (tech sheet) hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille, which is very helpful when troubleshooting, testing, and locating components.

It tells you this:

F7 Power to magnetron interrupted
1. Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power.
2. After 40 seconds, check to see whether this solves the problem.
3. Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power.
4. Check cooling fan operation
5. Check the magnetron.
6. Check P65 connection on the relay control board.
7. Check the P56/P66 connection between relay board and relay control
board.
8. Check wiring to the 1200W inverter and control system. See "Checking
Inverters."
9. Check operation of all interlock switches.
10. Replace all parts and panels before operating.
11. Plug in microwave oven or reconnect power.
12. Check voltage at 4903-1 on relay board. If it is 120, unplug microwave
oven or disconnect power.
13. Replace inverter.
14. Replace all parts and panels before operating.
15. Plug in microwave oven or reconnect power.
16. If problem persists, unplug microwave oven or disconnect power.
17. Replace relay control board.
18. Replace all parts and panels before operating.
19. Plug in microwave oven or reconnect power.
20. If problem persists, unplug microwave oven or disconnect power.
21. Check for reversed plug connection on controls or loose wiring.
22. Replace all parts and panels before operating.
23. Plug in microwave oven or reconnect power.

I'd suspect 6 through 8 first.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts by entering your full model number from the tag on the oven here.

The light went out an the turntable won't stop when I close the door...i tried to push clear, but it still turns. I couldn't find my model number on the below pull down, but my model is 721.8001...

721.80019401 (without spaces) is the correct model number.

If it was the cooktop lamp(s) that went out, I would suspect that it shorted, damaging the control circuit board.

We see and repair this problem on a regular basis with our $39.95 repair service.

Or you can order a new control circuit board (part number 6871W1S354A) for $75.80 from the Sears Parts Direct Web site.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

I need a user manual for a Saisho 200o mircro wave oven

If you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, I think you will be pleasantly surprised as usually one is able to download, by model number, Customer Instruction Manuals, list of Dealers, for spare parts and service, and Installation Instructions as required.

This is the best way of ensuring up to date drivers for your system and they are free of charge!

I hope this helps.

LCD display missing part of numerals

Yes, we repair these displays for $32.50 with a one-year guarantee. Repair Clinic charges $169.35 for the display board assembly. Tritronics (our supplier) sells the assembly with display (part # DPWBFC167WRKZ) for $107.07. On the rare occasions when we actually replace that type of board for our customer (at our cost of only $73.33) we also perform our proprietary fixes on it. We do that so the new display does not also fail in a few months, or even right out of the box! That actually happens!

Maytag Microwave MMV5207AAQ control problem.

Nuke, Sounds like your touch pad is going south. Why dont you kill the power, drop the control assy. and unplug the ribbon of the control panel to the board. Take an eraser and clean the ends of the ribbon where it connects to the board. Put it back in and see if that made a difference. If not I would suspect it's the touch panel. The part number I have for this is 53001508. Good luck.
