Question about Cell Phones

When i put a sim card an error report reading"illegal use will be powered off soon" is displayed but when i remove the sim card the phone is ok what could be the problem?

Your phone is sim-locked and needs to be unlocked. This can often be done cheaply in local phone shops, or online.

The problem is with the sim card. try to remove the sim, clean it with a dry cloth and put it back in. if the problem is not solved, take back the sim to your network provider and get a replacement, asuming the sim is damaged

Again, if you were familiar with cell phone technologies you would know that CDMA phones do not use SIM cards. Only GSM phones do. CMDA carriers like Verizon, Sprint and Alltel will never have SIM cards in their phones. The contacts are stored directly to the phone and in the case of Verizon, you have Backup Assistant which sends your contacts to a safe place.


Carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile are the only carriers that use SIM cards since they are GSM companies.

The sim card goes in the other way. The cut should be on the bottom left facing up. Try it and see if it works.
