Use mild abrasives, such as a sandpaper stick or emory board. Use rubbing alcohol and lots of Q Tips.

Can a coroded battery end make the battery light turn on a 98 cavalier

yes it can because the cars computer is not sensing a fully charged battery & it may lead you to an undercharged battery because it is not getting it from the alternator. it takes good clean terminals on both battery & connector cables to have a healthy electrical system in your car. it's the heart feeding the veins. catch ya later.

The starter was tested and came back good. When I jump the starter the van will start and stay running, when I shut it off it will start two or three times and then nothing

So that means that the battery is not recharging. Look into what charges the battery and keeps it charged?

Alternator? Regulator? Problems with the battery terminals themselves? Are they coroded? What about the terminals that connect the cable to the battery, do they need to be replaced? Are they coroded? Is the battery the type that needs water? Does it need to be filled?

Is there something else that could be causing a strain on the battery?

I have a Norelco 4845 XL rechargeable razor that has not been used for about 8-10years. I took it apart and the batteries seem to be coroded around the terminals. What can I use to clean the terminals...

It would not be a good idea to try to use the shaver with those batteries...even if you cleaned them. If you intend to use the shaver, you should replace the batteries. You will find correct batteries at

My vehicle will not start. the engine makes no sound, so what may be the problem and how do i fix it.

if you have coroded battery terminals clean them with water and baking soda and a wire brush then reconnect them and seal them with vasoline then jump start the car also if your terminals are corroded most likely the battery is shot and the alternator will burn up trying to charge a weak battery so replace the battery if bad or you will be replacing the alternator soon as well

Wondering about a charger

The "alkaline" version of your radio uses thee "AA" batteries and is not equipped for using a charger. Don't panic though, just visit any store with an electronics department. You can pick up NiMH rechargeable batteries and a generic charger. You have to remove the batteries from the radio to charge them, but you can always keep an extra set of batteries charged and ready for use.
