SOURCE: Sleep mode

You will need to exit the application and exit to dos. From the d: prompt, type cfg24 and that will give you the configuration menus. From there you will find the sleep mode settings.

How to stop music from playing music while surround sound is on the tv

First make sure the cables around the television and the surround sound system are not damaged. Then make sure the any grounding on the external sheathing of the cable is making good contact and that the braiding is not touching any other cable under the plug. You could try some better aftermarket connecting cables, and the ones that come with systems are used for price cheapness. Keep a space between cables and don't wrap them around each other. If none of that works, get some Ferrite Rings and thread three on each cable to the surround sound system, one at each end of the cable and one in the middle.

Cables with good braiding and gold flashed connectors as shown on this page are an indication of quality.

My rca receiver cuts out after half hour rt2781h

Take some canned air and blow out the receiver, if it is in a confined space or had another device sitting on top of it, it could be over heating. Poor ventilation causes shutdowns and system failure

Setting up the surround sound

Make sure the TV is 'looking' at the right input. If your system is connected to A/V input 1, then make sure the TV is set to that input. If everything is ok there, pressing MENU should bring it up. It's easiest if there is nothing in the DVD player.

You can also download the manual from RCA's site. CLick the link below to get it.

Hope this helps, and please rate my advice, good OR bad.

Good luck!!
