Mobile phone I cant get my sony ericsson k650i to work on my laptop after installing the sony ericsson cd...it wont charge the phone even though it says it is charging...also when i plug in the phone I dont get any menu as to what i want to do with the photos.

Try connecting the phone to a different laptop; preferably a Windows one to see if that succeeds. The Sony website doesn't list any Apple MacOS drivers, so not sure if it will ever work.

Installing the drivers from: http://www.driverscape.com/download/sony-ericsson-w995 onto a Windows PC should let you download the pictures to that PC without any problem.

Well if you are tied to a particular network all you have to do is to unlock your phone to use it any other GSM network. You can get the unlock code through online. Yes, perhaps that an add on and you might have to ring your provider and get the phone enabled. I disabled mine because I kept hitting the browser button and got charged everytime it happened even though I didn't access the internet. Anyway do this I am sure it will work, watch charges though, make sure you are covered, or aware of what it will cost.

it may cause by the charger,do little shake on the plug that connect to the phone..red light appear cause by no battery at all..

I had the same problem with a k800i, i emailed sony ericsson and they told me what to try and it worked however you do lose everything you had stored on your phone. I believe this will work with most if not all sony ericsson phones. You need to update your phone, here's what to do;
1.Go to www.sonyericsson.com/support
2.Select UK
3.Select your model of handset
4.Click on Sony Ericsson Update Service
5.Click the link, and then click Run or Save.
6.Let the Sony Ericsson Update Service install.

Once you have installed the Sony Ericsson Update Service you will need to launch it. Once it opens simply follow the instructions that you will see on screen. The update should then begin.
