It seems that you will need to contact the manf. directly for this. I am assuming it is not just a matter of opening a door to upgrade the RAM, most likely have to take the entire thing apart.

"Hello, just letting everyone know, if the system is disassembled outside of the service center, your warranty can no longer be covered.
If anyone needs a service upgrade or RAM upgrade, just contact Flybook techncal support. Email is:"

I need to upgrade ram memory in flybook V5 from 2 gb to 4 gb. How to do it?

If you are unsure of how to install memory, I would take your system to a repair shop and have them do it for you.

this system will support 4gb of ram, but what you have to buy depends on what you already have installed.

If you have a single 2gb stick, that's another 2gb and have it installed. if you have two 1gb sticks....then you would have to purchase two 2gb sticks to upgrade.

How can i open my Flybook Vm to change de hardisk and encrease the memory?Thank you Paolo

The VM is a very hard machine to work on. You have to start by taking off the battery. Then remove all the screws on the bottom of the case chassis. Once that is done, with the screen extended, carefully run a soft wood chisel or a fingernail around the machine, releasing the clamps on the side of the system holding the plastics together.

Once that is done, you will carefully have to pull away the bottom case from the rest of the system. That will expose your HD and memory.

Compatiblity issue..

You may install up to 4GB of DDR RAM in this motherboard. It does not use DDR2.

This is from your manual:

Dual-channel DDR400 memory support
Employing the Double Data Rate (DDR) memory technology, the motherboard supports up to 4GB of system memory using DDR400/333/266 DIMMs.

There is risked that adds it? Becose i want to add 2 more GB of ram too, now i have 1 GB...

These are the memory mods for your motherboard. It looks like you would max out at 8GB (4x2GB). You would need to verify the clock speed and such on the 1GB you already have (take the part number off of the chip and punch it into Google for a reference). Cross populating memory of different speeds isn't the greatest.

Upgrade P5RD1-VM motherboard to the gaming PC

Your pc is not for gaming right now because you are using Intel Pentuim 4 Mother board and CPU. Amd Athlon is best for gaming. I have a AMD Athlon 4200+ X2 with 4gb Ram and Nvidia 6800 256mb OC. to upgrade your computer to a gaming pc. you will need to switch your motherboard and cpu for best performance on games. in order to do that, you might need a different case for your new motherboard. because the one you have might not be right for the AMD Athlon motherboard unless you have a custom made computer. other than that everything is set for you. if you have less than 1gb ram you might want to add more. because the games they are coming with right now is 1gb minimum or required.

i hope that answers your question.
Thank You
