I'd check applicable fuses first. Any electrical circuit needs voltage and ground.

Need headlight wiring diagram for 2013 Kia Rio,want to fit spotlights

you will have to fit a relay into the system. Tap a wire into the high beam power wire for the headlights. (Piggy back connection) take this wire down to the fitted relay to a coil pin on the relay. connect a wire to the other coil pin of the relay and return to the dash area to an control switch through it then to an earth point.. Run a wire to an inline fuse directly from the battery ( fuse close to the battery as it is a high current line) down to one pin of the relay. connect up the power wire for the light to the opposite pin on the relay and connect the earth wire of the light to an earth point

According to road regulations you cannot have spot lights on by them selves and they must only operate in conjunction with high beam operation.. The setup as I describe allows you control of when the spotlights will be on ( switch in the dash) and if on will be extinguished when low beam is selected as per regulations. The relay ensures that the trigger wires do not carry full light amperage so light gauge wires can be used and only the power wire from the battery to the relay to the light need to be heavier gauge.

Rodeo wiring diagram

The wire to the horn button is a live wire and it is shorted out when you press the button. This activates the relay and blows the horn. relays normally work by power coming to a terminal through the coil and out the other terminal to earth . This connects the coil and so the contacts are pulled together to allow power from the battery though to what ever is the relay for .. So what you need is power to a coil terminal on the relay and the horn wire connected to the other terminal. This will complete the circuit when you press the horn and the relay will close and the horn will blow.. To get this it may be necessary to piggy back off the power wire ( battery terminal on relay ) to a coil terminal .

"relay switch wiring"
and you will pull up 6 web pages of click on the post articles
on how to wire in a relay. somewheres in all that techinical info
someone will be writing about a relay just like yours & be giving step by step instruction as well as tools needed to do job.

try typing in search box---" how to wire dayton 5x848n relay into well pump.

You should also have the make and model of the well pump handy on paper as you will need this to find out where relay goes to pump motor.

If you need more specific info type in search box
*how 2 wire dayton 5x848n relay into make & model well pump*
try that on;;; as well as
they all have search box on upper right coner of web page & they all answer questions with pre writen info.

what you have to know is the ECM in those year start the injection . Coolant fan work by a relay and the relay is control by ECM a ground to relay. Find out the wire for A/C to relay.then find a + wire for current to relay then power from relay to coolant fan.if you want two speed to coolant fan you need at least 3 wires at coolant fan motor.

I need help hooking up new headlights, with halos and LEDs, i nned them to turn on right wen the car turns on... Not wen i turn lights on

For that you will need to be able to do some serious wiring. You will need to find a relay in the engine compartment fuse/relay box that turns on when you turn on the key, like the electric fuel pump relay, for example. Next you will need to calculate the amperage draw of all of the lights you are going to hook up. If the fuse for the relay you chose is smaller than the amperage you need to serve both the fuel pump and the lights then you will need to make a fuse connection at a spare in the fuse box to connect to the new relay output and input (see below). The fuel pump relay has control and supply wires on it. The supply wires actually supply the power to the fuel pump. The control wires simply turn on the relay when you turn on the key in the ignition. You need to hook up the control wires of the fuel pump relay to the control wires of the new lights relay. As stated earlier, the supply wires are then hooked to the relay and, in turn to the supply fuse. Make certain that you use some heavier wire for the supply circuits. Thinner wires may be substituted for the control wires. Solder at the fuse box side and use spade connectors at the lights side...good luck!

Hello i have a sportster that i have wired myself and i need to put a starter relay switch in. i am asking if you could tell me how to put one in and were the wires go.

Most years of Sportsters have the small cube-type starter relay on the backside of the oil tank. The larger three wire relays were on the bottom of the battery tray. There's a small hole there that a short sheet metal screw goes into. But, you can wire the relay anywhere you want it since you're making up the wiring harness.

Now, as for which wire goes where, it depends on which relay you're going to use. There are the simple three wires relays like on the earlier models and the later cube-type relays. Basically, you've got a coil in the relay. This coil is activated by the start button and connect the other two connections together. The older type relays ground through there connection to the frame where the newer relays need a wire for their ground due to their plastic cases. So, one side of the "coil connection" is ground with the other wire coming from the starter button. When you press the starter button, you should hear a click from the relay. The other connections are one from the battery or main harness after the main breaker or fuse and the other going the small connector on the starter solenoid. These are the two contacts that are "made" when the relay is energized.

I need a wire diagram for a 1981 harley davidson superglide for the starter wireing

The wiring is simple for a starter. You have a starter solenoid on the bike and a starter relay. When you press the button to start your bike, the button has a wire that runs to the relay. This triggers the coil in the relay and pulls the contacts in. You have three wires that run to the relay for the starter. One hot wire, a trigger wire from the starter button and a wire from the relay to the solenoid. When you press the button, the relay pulls in and makes the wire going to the solenoid "Hot".

The solenoid has three wires going to it. The large battery cable goes to the "long post" of the solenoid, There's another battery cable going to the starter from the bottom of the solenoid, The wire from the starter relay goes to the small terminal of the solenoid. The small wire from the starter relay is the trigger wire for the starter solenoid. When this wire goes hot, it magnetizes the solenoid and pulls the plunger inward. The plunger bridges two large contacts in the solenoid to put high current voltage to the starter.

If you need a schematic, contact me directly at I cannot send a file via this medium but I can direct e-mail. Remind me of what you need when you contact me.

Good Luck

Indoor unit runs continously changed thermostat unit still runs continuously heat does not come on

fan relay or fan time delay board is bad track wires from fan motor back to relay tap it gently and if motor goes off relay was stuck on. replace relay wire for wire , usually a 90-340 universal relay will work but you need to know how to wire it, maybe best to get exact repl and change wire for wire.
