Question about Wella Color Charm Liquid Permanent Hair Color #BP

Open Question

I tried to touch up my roots at home. I used Wella Color Charm 7R/810 1/2 ounce, Wella Color Charm 6RG/544 1/2 ounce, and Wella Cream Developer 2 ounces. I applied it ONLY to the roots and left it on for 30 minutes. Then I put several ounces of distilled water in the left over color and applied to my roots and worked it out to the ends of my hair. I left this on for 10 minutes. I rinsed the color completely out and shampooed my hair and put a conditioner on for 2 minutes. My hair is Bozo the Clown Red!!!!!!!! I wanted it to be a medium copper blonde.

SOURCE: I have natural lt brown

Gray hair is resistant to accept color.....You might try to find one of 2 products: " Zotos Porosity Equalizer" from Sally's or any beauty supply store. Also, Clairol has a new formulation called "Gray Solution", where there is a cream added to gray hair prior to adding color. This is for next time you plan to color.
In the meantime, you may want to purchase Roux Fanci-Full Color Styling Mousse in either #19 or #18 to tone down the red tones from your local beauty supply or online.Good Luck

it's only possible to lift 3 shades (like 3to 6, or 4 to 7) without taking undertones into consideration. To go from a dark brown (level 3) to a 9n you would have to pre-lighten your hair with an on the scalp bleach first. Then color with 9n and 20 volume

I want my hair this color by wella

It is real important that you navigate / calculate what your natural color level and what natural reflect your hair is. (Not artificially from a previous tint) Because tint is not total matt coverage like paint. Hair color wont tint over tint accurately. This is how many horrific bad colors are born.
If your eyes are blue or hazel & you have a fairer complexion that color is more feasible. If your eyes are brown and your hair is medium to coarser texture and very dark its a lot more complicated because you could throw scaling down (backwards) from lots of red to brassy copper to gold.
The actual formula needed is calculated on how many shade levels of lift counteracted by what reflect your lightened hair will throw. Not necessarily by what color the tint box says. The color shade on the box is a idealistic situation. If your having trouble following me or these complexities cut about 50 strands of hair at the nape (back of neck underneath your hair and put scotch tape around it. Then mix a minute amount of color and developer and you will understand me. This way you can at worse only screw up of 50 strands of hair (instead of everything attached to your head). Bad hair color jobs are expensive to fix & as I can see what we are working with a guess is a hazard. Don't take on almost mission impossible blindly.

when you're using so red the color you need to use a 20 volume creme developer.you miss that one the one so you put one ounce color one ounce developer and then you mix it thoroughly working on your hair from root to ends.can you process at 45 minutes you brant with cool water until the color rinses all the way to cure your hair runs clear then shampoo with professional shampoo and use lukewarm water and you wash your hair the longer your color will last you should only wash your hair 2 to 3 times at the most a week and I am a licensed cosmetologist.

My hair is yellow on top and orange on bottom from bleaching it. would wella regal beige T27 tone it to a light blonde?

no I don't think it would. A beige is a red violet base. if you are orange you need to use a blue or ash based toner and a violet toner for the yellow, this will counter act the un wanted pigment. Not sur what to recommend in wella. I use redken at work.
