What type of graphics card is this?

Hi there,

I have a graphics card that i want to sell. The only problem is that I don't know exactly what the name and type is.

I know it is an AGP card and the only markings on it are the following:

On the front it says A4-NV34DDR-F1-ZH
On the back it says EXTMX40002802401502
And below this it says EXTMX400028

I cannot plug it in to find out what it is as my mother board has only PCI express slot.

If anyone can help i would be very grateful.

    thanks for your help.

Would you have any idea what the spec. is for it.

I have searched google trying to find one that looks the same as this one but can't find a thing. I don't want to be telling a possible buyer that it does something that it doesn't.

    thanks

This is an Nvidia FX series card with 128MB. Not much other information available. Maybe a call to Nvidia support can give you more specs. Good luck.

Hold on now, we are talking Desktop here right, not a laptop? On a desktop just go out and buy a video graphic card that fits into one of the pci slots. You don't try to replace the one that is built into the motherboard.

Is this some type of special computer where as you don't have pci slots? I noticed something above talking about an all in one. LOL, when will people ever learn not to buy an All-In-One of anything made. One thing breaks and you're toast.

I'm not sure if you have a pci slot, but if you had purchased a conventional desktop you can find a video graphics card for less than $30 unless you want some super duper gamer type graphics card. Lesson Learned I hope.

Computer doesn't use Graphics Card

if it has a exclamation sign on it and it is in yellow it means the driver is missing .Even if you installed some driver it is not for this card ..If you know the card name ..and so...just go to the manufacturer's support site and download the driver for your operation system and run it again .This will fix teh issue for sure.If you have an on-board graphic card ..the driver should be on the motherboard's disk with the other drivers..if the card is separately on agp or pci ..it should have its own disk ..Always run the proper driver for the operation system you use..and exact driver for the device ..they rarely work for related models from the same manufacturer..but only sometimes..You always need to get the one for this device .and be sure when you load it that you installed it and had no errors.
Let me know if you need further assistance ..in locating the driver ..but only if you have information about the graphic card ..otherwise I don't know what to look for ..
have a nice day ..and please rate my answer..it helps my activity here !

How can i get the monitor to work as it keeps flashing its got a graphics card in and its also got one built into the motherboard if it helps i can give u the model ! system model ECS M863...

What exactly is the monitor doing? Is it giving you an error message? There could be a problem with the graphics card however, I don't believe you've got the whole model number so, I can't get you drivers or specs on it. If you have the installation CD for the card, you can try a fresh install, which might not be a bad idea. I'd feel better about helping you if I had the make and model of your computer, If you have replaced the motherboard, re-check the model number and give that to me as well. If it's the original motherboard, I can probably figure it out. It would also help to know the make and model of the graphics card. If your motherboard has on board graphics, you should be able to uninstall the graphics card and use the on borad graphics. When you remove the card, if there is no driver for the on board card, Windows should search for a driver which will get you by, then you can update that driver but, again, knowing what you've got would help with the update. Let me know.

Hi,

The brand of RAM is not important, it's the type, you'll need SDRAM for that and an AGP4X type of graphics card... here's some several selections
GEFORCE4MX440SE/6M AGP4X
SIS 315, 256-BIT AGP 4X VGA CARD
GREEN ATI 7000 SERIES CARD

Hope this helps... Just don't forget to rate - thanks.

Hi would my nvidia graphic card work on a pentium 4

Graphic Cards work when the card and the slot types match. Common slot types for Graphics cards are PCI,  AGP, PCIe1 and PCIe16. If your NVIDA (chipset name) card is the same type as the slot on your board the answer is yes. If it fits the slot, it will work.

Suitable graphics card which would enable me to play games

The problem is that you can't just Upgrade the video card in a portable like you can a desktop system.

Upgrading the video would require a new motherboard with discrete graphics. VERY few portable system have upgradeable video without major cost (Usually cheaper to sell system and buy one configured as you need it) which is my recommendation if that system will not perform as you desire.

Generally, upgrades on portrable systems are limited to MEMORY, HARD DRIVES and plug in components like wireless cards, modems etc.
