Your Hi Fi is not made to detect PC's, Its made to search for MP3's on devices like USB Thumb drives or External USB HDD's or MP3 players,

I have an Xitel Hi-Fi link, USB type. For some reason it stopped working on my Dell Windows 7 machine. When I check the device manager is shows it with a yellow icon and says it's not working....

The product details say that is a plug and play device, this means it shouldn't need a driver, how ever with it being used with windows 7, I don't know if that makes the difference. Shouldn't, but never no, I also had no luck finding drivers. I would uninstall the drivers associated with it and reboot your computer with this hooked up and see what happens.

I cant get gy lap top to recognise my maxtor3200 external hard drive any ideas would be appreciated

Make sure that connect the hard drive directly to a usb port on your laptop and not thru a usb hub, disconnect all other usb devices except the hard drive and try rebooting and see if it shows up.

Hello i just bought a phillips mp3 cd played, just want to know if its an actual mp3 player or just plays cd from mp3 file

Phillips does not make a hybrid cd / mp3 device. If you are able to insert a cd into the device and play it then it can only play audio cds and audio cds with mp3s on it. That is to say, it is not your standard MP3 player like an iPod etc. It is a cd player that can play mp3 cds.

Lap top will not work wireless

CHeck if the laptop wireless device is turned on.

Some laptops have a switch that turn it on-off.

You can also try the Fn KEY.

Identify the wi-fi sign on your function keys. Mine is F2. It has a sign like this (( i )).

So press the Fn Key + F2 (in my case) and see if it works.

If you wireless device is damaged. Instead of sending it to manufacturer if there is no warranty, you can buy an external USB wireless Adapter.

God bless You

Hope it helps.

How can I play super Mario on line

Buy a Wi-Fi USB connector.
You can get them from **** Smith and JB-HiFi(I got a wireless one from Jb Hifi)
Plug it into your P.C,
And you're off.
On some games there's an option which says 'Wi-Fi' I dont think there's one on your mario game, but you can look for it.
Good luck looking and if there's isn't one there,
I'm very sorry to you!
Adius.

I have a Hitachi AX-m133 hi fi. When i try to play songs from my 2nd generation ipod nano via the usb port the display just says reading... checking system then locks up.

Hi
I recently got one of these and had the same problems. These were solved as follows.

Firstly, for small devices such as USB sticks and MP3 players they must be formated as FAT32 otherwise they cant be read, NTFS does not appear to be supported.

Secondly, for portable hard drives they must be also formated to FAT32 they also need to be externaly powered. For my 2 1/2" lap top drive the power from the USB port on the machine was not enough to fire up the drive I had to use a Y cable plugged into a mains usb charger to boost the power it then worked fine. Also be a little patient as it will take a little while to read the drive, this will depend on the drive capacity but you should hear the drive ticking over as it does this
