SOURCE: Why does my whirpool wwdc 7410 not start cycle?

you may have a bad door switch. I would check that the wires are still connected to the switch and that they are not broken or damaged.

No they are screens that stop sand or other stuff that maybe in your water system stops it from clogging up valve if you have well water and water fill is slow they may need cleaning they will pop out

What does LF mean

LF generally means "long fill error," which is generated when your washer is not getting the correct amount of water. This could be because of a clogged inlet screen, a leak which is causing low water pressure or a faulty inlet valve. You may want to contact Whirlpool for instructions on checking or replacing your hose, or cleaning the inlet screen.

Whirlpool wwdc 9940 , it's one in the 6th sense range. I believe my washing machine is stuck in demo mode and I cannot get it back to being usable. Help!! I have so much washing to do!

I don't believe there is a demo mode in a washing machine. You would either do a wash or not do a wash. The internet seems to know nothing about it either. Contact the dealer.

You do have the water switched on?

If you have used the machine normally before, you have a fault and need to call a repair man.

Whirlpool heavy duty super capacity plus machine. Does this model have an water input filter. Water flow is very low while filling.

First you should remove the hoses and clean the screens in the ends of the hose, some hoses have screens in both ends. While the hoses are removed look inside the water inlet valve there should be a screen in there also remove and clean the screen out. Some screens will not be removable so you will need to clean in place or remove the water inlet valve. If all is clear you will need to check the solenoids on the water inlet valve for power. If the solenoid has power when put in a fill cycle and no water eneters your washer you will need to replace the water inlet valve. Most water inlet valves must be replaced as a unit, so if one solenoid fails you replace the hole valve assembly. These are inexpensive and easy to replace. There is a video at www.appliancehelponline.com/servicemanual.html that will walk you thru the testing procedure. It may be a different model but the testing will be the same. If you need help disassembling there are also videos of disassembling most styles. You can also enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations of your specific model. Not all models will be available. All parts come with installation instructions.

The wires should be color coded with a stripe on one or the other reconnect them with the dryer unplugged then plug the dryer in to see if the door will unlock. If it foes not then wait 5 minutes for it to cycle then try.

How do you locate cold water relay

There is no cold water relay. There is a water inlet valve with a cold water solenoid on it, though. If you have no cold water, any of the following could be a cause:

1. Clogged sediment screen on the cold water inlet. You will need to shut off the water and remove the fill hose from the back of the washer and check the inlet screen on the cold water inlet on the back of the washer. Clean if necesssary. NOTE: This can be a common problem if you have hard water or use well water. Cleaning with a 50/50 solution of distilled vinegar and water using cotton swabs can dissolve most accumulations of rust and sediment.

2. Poor electrical connection on the cold water solenoid on the inlet valve. Locate the electrical connection for the cold water solenoid (usually color coded BLUE for cold water, RED for hot water) and unplug. Check the electrical contacts for any signs of corrosion. Clean the contacts if necessary.

3. Bad cold water solenoid. With the electrical connection removed and the washer unplugged, take a resistance reading on the solenoid contacts. They should read something around 600-800 ohms if good. If bad, you will need to replace the water inlet valve.

4. Kinked or clogged fill hose.

NOTE: Make sure you UNPLUG the washer before servicing.

If you determine the water inlet valve to be defective, the following link explains how to access and/or replace:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r600647-replacing_water_inlet_valve_kenmore

The part number for the inlet valve is 285805 and can be purchased at any of the following websites:

searspartsdirect.com
appliancepartspros.com
pcappliancerepair.com
repairclinic.com

Prices will vary between these sites, so shop all of them for the best price.

If you need a diagram to assist you, the first three websites mentioned usually have excellent exploded view illustrations that accompany their parts lists. You can use these as a helpful reference. The water inlet valve is listed as item 18 under the "Control and Rear Panel Parts" heading.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

NOTE: Roper is manufactured by Whirlpool, and use Whirlpool parts, so these instructions will apply.

My washing machine has had a high-pitched noise when it fills with cold water ever since we moved to a new house. This doesn't happen when it is filling with hot (or even warm) water. We've tried turning...

Are you sure you have the hot pipe on the hot inlet and the cold on the cold inlet ie red to red black to black (easily done), please check carefully. if OK then I think you have picked up some dirt in the inlet filter and this will need to be removed and cleaned, remove lid and follow pipes inside to plastic tank at top near drawer, filter housing can be seen there.
