No need for sevice codes. you should have dials on the unit to make adjustsments. the only adjustment you need to make is the contrast. if the colors are to bright take the tv back to b/w and retune

How to icrease contrast level from IC tda 9370

The uses TDA9370IC as chroma, will have adjustment for sub-contrast, sub-brightness etc: To access these parameters and adjust data values, you have to enter its service mode option window. It is a semi-skilled work. If you are not confident, never enter into it, or adjust any data value set there now. Contact any service technician. If you're something in electronics, check the site linked here. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Pull up previous posts there, either by type in the model name to your set in its search box, or view it in Mosaic /Timeslide option.

Want to know how to adjust contrast

Very old set--always adjust so contrast not too high--it should always be lower than brightness---say brightness at 75% and contrast lower--if contrast set too high smearing will occur and picture quality will be affected.

I need the picture settings for a trutech tv. For example : number for contrast .

Hello
The picture setting for any TV depends upon the taste of the viewer. Contrast is the deepness of details in black and grey level. In most TVs a 55 to 75% of contrast will give a good picture. you have to adjust the brightness level also according to contrast. It is best ot turn out colour to 0% first. Adjust contrast and brightness to get a well detailed B/W picture first. The apply enough colour to that B/W picture according to your taste. Face colour of a newsreader at studio will be the best reference to intensity of colour.OK.

What is the proper calibration settings for a panasonic tc-p50s2n. I have used it for over a 100 hours

Do you have access to a test pattern or color bar ? .If you have a THX certified DVD ( some Walt Disney movies ) it will have calibration setup guide in the DVD menu.Or else you have to buy a calibration DVD if you are serious about your TV setup.
First you have to set the contrast and brightness using the Grey-scale pattern. Seven set of vertical bars slowly progressing from white to black. If set right you should be able to make out all the seven bars with out each merging ( or overlapping ) into the other. You will be able to see the line of demarcation between each vertical bars. Then set the color to taste.
If you do not want to purchase the above mentioned DVD disc a close setup figure for your Panasonic TV would be
Picture Mode = Standard ( Normal )
Picture ( Contrast ) ---- 50
Brightness ---------------- 50
Color ------------------------ 33
Sharpness ---------------- 50
Hue ------------------------- In the middle
This setting should give you a decent picture quality assuming your TV is new.

Colors are off on the TV. When I try to adjust the contrast and brightness, etc from the menu, either everything is orange or green or yellow.

Contrast and brightness won't fix it.You are on the right path though. You need to search around for a color adjustment. You should have numbered scales for all 3 primary colors to adjust. It should also be somewhere under the picture option.Let me know if you need better instructions.Good luck!

Cannot adjust color

Have you turned the controls from one of the presets? Presets are Vivid, Movie, etc. Most sets have to be in Custom or Customize to adjust the controls, likely on-screen with one of contrast, brightness, color, or tint selected. If those are horizontal bars then up/down selects which and right/left select decrease/increase or red/green for tint. Start with 50% if no reset (0% for R/G) or start with the non-Vivid settings. Consult AVS forums for you model to get better settings. Rules of thumb: Brightness should be as dark as possible without losing gray scale at lowest part. Contrast should not be so high that whites bloom or make it hard to see. Color should not blow out any color nor be unnatural. Tint is best judged on flesh tones. -Ken

Choosing a calibration tech - please help!

black levels in lcd depend 99% on the technology used lg uses ips panels well sammy and sony use the latter thats why they get a tad better blacks but ips generally do colors better and the fact that th lg we have, has the all new 10 bit panels in them i myself like the pop of the lgs color over the barley there difference of blacks between it, sony and sammy, my honest opinion and let me reiterate my own opinion well lets put it like this my friend this is honestly the best way to describe greyscale, its like a painters canvas while its not as close to accurate as possible well the colors will not be as close to accurate as possible the greyscale is the starting point period this guy adjust while you watch then when ur mind is tricked into liking it well hes done kinda con but not a 100 % i mean he shows up atleast greyscaling and well isf ccc is an art and a science ur tv is able to hold ruler straight scale from 10 to 100 man like i said earlier this guy will only give half the pie, save ur money, and after x-mas treat ur self i promise u wont be sorry i am loving mine and well its hard for a tv to impress me but this lg well i cant quit playing with Hey the response time in cinema mode is 2.7 seconds wow, and leave fresh contrast off that equals 40,000 dynamic contrast now that is torch mode, hey intelligent sensor can save u 65% thats alot, did u get extended warranty.

c. YOU KNOW IN UR MIND THAT U WANT TO GET IT DONE RIGHT! lol

Samsung tv settings

it depends on what your using it for, adjust colour tones to what you think looks natural, contrast between 80-90, keep sharpness below 30. just have a play around till you find what best suits the source material.

the only thing to do is pick which video mode you want (tv, vid1,2,3,etc) and then turn off and then immediately on for an hour or two and then the picture will come on. I,ve heard it's an internal transformer problem.
