Maytag front load washer getting nd and nf ...

I have the Maytag MAH2400AWW front loading washer. When started, it will show code nf. When started in another cycle mode it will say code nd. In either case it's not doing anything when started. I pulled the pump and found a coin and removed it. This did not solve the problem. I did the board output test, and on the drain test I first hear a click, and then nothing happens. On the water valve tests, I don't hear anything and nothing happens. In contrast, the motor and spin tests all work. Also, there door doesn't seem to open and I had to flip it over to jiggle it open. The unit is a little more than one year old. I'm really stuck and would be grateful for any help. Thanks . . . Dave
