Burners do not light properly - Heating & Cooling

Intermittent problem from the start but has gotten worse with time (2 years). Unit is mounted horizontal with right to left flow. Altitude is 3500 ft. Trouble light blinks twice. Does not light the burners completely. Induction fan starts and steps up in speed, glow bar starts, gas turns on, top burner of 4 (the one with the glow bar) lights but the other 3 burners do not, the top burner does not ignite them. The flame sensor is on the bottom burner so it is not happy so the controller shuts it all down. After 3 tries the furnace locks out, as it should. The unit is setup for propane and the gas pressure is correct. Does not matter whether flue is connected. Gas orifices are clean. If I put a flame by lower burners they will light when the top burner does at gas turn on.

Think I finally found the problem. The 16" by 1/2" flex line from the 3/4" black pipe to the heater gas valve was within manufacture spec

Top gas cooking range continues to make the ticking sound ( tick-tick-tick) even when all burners are off. There is sparking at all the burners too with the sound, I have removed the electrical plug f

This seems like the burner control valves are not functioning properly. The rear is still working properly so without knowing brand I would say the control valves are defective.

Burners run cool when set on high, when all but one burner is off, the single burner opporates correctly. Grill worked fine before.

There have been issues lately with the way regulators are not drawing gas out of the cylinders properly, and how some of the newer grills are not heating properly.

The issue with them not heating properly goes back (usually, from just what I have observed) to the position of the gas knobs at the time the cylinder valve is opened. On some grills, if the gas knobs are open when the cylinder valve is opened, the burners will not get the maximum amount of gas to all burners, but the performance of one burner is enhanced if the others are turned off, and this sounds like what's got you.

Turn the gas cylinder valve to the off position, and bleed the gas pressure down at the burners. Close the burner valves. Slowly crack open the tank valve, and work it slowly to full open. With the grill lid open, select and light one burner. If it operates properly, light the other burners. If the first burner does not operate properly, repeat the procedure. If you cannot operate your grill like it is supposed to, the issue may fall to the regulator. If the regulator is an older style, it may not actually be fully compatible with some newer cylinders. This seems to be a newer phenomenon, and seems to be found with the type of cylinders that are swapped for a refill. If this is your case, you will need to upgrade to the newer regulator.

Grill will not stay lit if using 4 th burner will only work on 3 burners and gas is low

Check that the fourth burner tube is set properly into the unit. Then turn all burners off, turn off the natural gas supply or remove the LP tank. turn all the burners on (don't try to light) wait a couple seconds turn all burners off. reconnect gas source. turn on gas, open burners fully and try to light.

Burners two and three will not light unless direct flame is put to it. Burner 1 will light off the ignitor.

Probably the ignitor sparker is not positioned properly or ignitor wire has short and it's not sparking at the burner. Compare the position of the one that lights with the others that don't and adjust position til spark arcs against burner and lights within 1-3 sparks.
