Re: how do i reset my rca mp3 player?
Ya windows media player is definately compatible with it.
Does this MP3 Player have a format option from within the MP3 player? Many new MP3 players offer the option to format the MP3 player by going into the settings. Check the manual to find out how to do it.
If that doesn't work, check for a reset hole on the MP3 player. The manual should detail the procedure for reseting the MP3 player.

Make sure you have the latest Windows Media Player installed on your computer. If you do not have the latest Windows Media Player you can go to www.download.com to download it.
After you have it downloaded and all your songs put on it then you will.
Open up Windows Media Player, and you will see the words Library","Rip","Burn" and "Sync".
Plug in your MP3 player, the click the word "Sync"...this will synchronize your MP3 player to your Windows Media Player where all your songs are.
If you have your songs on a different Media Player, then I would recommend that you transfer them to Windows Media Player.
Go to RCA and download the easy rip software. http://www.rcaaudiovideo.com/
Or you can do it this way. ow to Add music to your mp3 player and deleate it.
This works with windows media player 10 and 11 only. Here is a link you can use and is most helpfull. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/default.mspx After you go to the site mentioned above. You need to know a few terms that are used.
mp3 = player means DEVICE OR PORTABLE DEVICE addin Files = SYNCHRONIZING, SYNC, or SYNCING copying files = rip or ripping
Files stored on mp3 player or your computer is library this is only when mp3 player is connected to your computer.
Step one connect your mp3 device to usb of your computer. Step Two Open Windows Media Player (10 or 11). Step three Click on the icon of your mp3 player on left hand side of library Step four Click on songs, tracks, or other music folder. Step Five Find songs, or song the you want to get ride of (delete) Step Six lift click the song to high-light it. Step seven Press the delete button on your pc keybord.
Most mp3 you can drag and drop songs into the music folder.
Use Windows Media Player to delete the songs, but before you do, the reason that those pics were added is that "automatic synchronization" was enabled in Windows Media Player - switch to manual synch, and it will never happen again. Here are some helpful links:
The instructions in these pages, which are largely links, pertain to Windows Media Player 10 and 11 only.
Windows Media Player is made by Microsoft. The general help page for Windows Media Player is:
If you try to sync too many songs at once, you will overload the player - don't sync more than 10 at a time. Reset your player, and take notice of the last song that was synched - because that particular file may be corrupt.
Well, if You have a Windows Computer with Windows Media Player 10....then all You have to do is synchronize it with your Media Player....If you don't have atleast Windows Media Player 10....then jus simply upgrade your Media Player.....If You have an Apple Computer....Wait for the MP3 to pop up on your desktop...and simply drag your files from itunes to your MP3 player file....
