Question about Apple MacBook Mac Notebook
Susie: macbook laptop on but nothing on screen? HELP! I have taken out the battery but there's no difference.
It looks like a hardware problem: you backlight is probably faulty, or the screen is set up to the least luminosity

That problem sounds like a video card issue. I suggest you try with an external monitor and see if you have success. If your MB works that way, definitely a video card issue. If is still under warranty (AppleCare) call Apple ASAP. Good luck!
