I have qnexusnx wireless adapter. when I try to make flash go off i get error r05 which is supposely a buffer message and the shutter will not trip.

Try this method Switch on the adapter, while on remove the battery Leave for about 30 secs with the adapter still in 'on ' mode reinstall the battery let it power up then switch off leave for 30 secs then switch on. This may clear the buffer.

R05 error on nikon d80

The Nikon D-90 users manual says on page 256 that the ERR message indicates a camera malfunction and that it can be cleared by releasing the shutter.

I've found on my D-90 that the only way I can get the shutter to release is my turning the camera off. When I turn it back on the ERR message is gone and the camera functions as it should.

Occasionally, I have had to remove and reinstall the battery to make the camera turn off but this happens only rarely.

The users manual says if the condition occurs frequently or persists that you should contact a Nikon authorized repair center. I suggest that you contact Nikon tech support at to see what they suggest. I think this information would apply to the D-80 as well.

The r05 is not an error message. It is an indication that the camera is shooting in burst mode (multiple shots with one button push) and that you can shoot five more shots before the camera must pause, clean its cache and be prepared to shoot again.

D80 suffering from error code r05 and r06 along with flashing err on the lcd display. Camera only captures a shot every other shutter release. Removed lens and cleaned contacts, cheged to a different...

As far as I can read in the manual there is not any error code r05 and r06. My guess is you are seeing that in the LCD on top of the camera. Turn to page 36 in the D80 manual there you is what you are after. The r05 and r06 are the number of shots remaining in the buffer.

During using D90 for son's b-day my camera kept freezing up and giving a code of r05 and another code once that I don't remember. Why and what does r05 mean? I even turned the camera off at times but it...

The r05 is not an error. It's simply telling you that the buffer has room for five more pics. It's only a problem when it gets to 0 and stays there.

As to the other error, I'm afraid I can't help you there.

Metz 58 AF with Nikon d90 wont flash

Hi, Bad news for you.

Try this.
  1. put new batteries in flash.
  2. turn flash on off camera.
  3. listen for capacitor to squeal (high pitched whistle). If you hear it it is charging. If not capacitor is bad.
  4. Also should see flash ready light come on. If it does not same as #3 above.
  5. If you pass #3 & 4# above press manual flash/check/test button on flash. No flash means bulb is out. It can be replaced.
Hope this fixed ya. Please rate. Good Luck! Comment back if you need further assistance.

1996 Ford Crown Victoria Shifting

when was the last time you had the fluid and filter changed? This trans should be done every 30,000. Is it shuddering as the torque converter locks up?

TSB 97-10-6 has a repair procedure for this ysmptom:

Vehicles equipped with an AODE or 4R70W transmission may experience a torque converter clutch shudder or vibration. This occurs under light to moderate acceleration above 56 km/h (35 mph) while in 3rd or 4th gear. This may be due to either transmission fluid breakdown and/or the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) calibration.

Verify that bulk fluid does not have moisture contamination. If suspected, use quart containers of MERCON®. Refill transmission with the proper amount of Motorcraft MERCON® Multi-Purpose Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) (XT-2-QDX).

Check emissions decal to verify vehicle has the latest calibration. If it does not, reprogram the PCM to new calibration level using Service Bay Diagnostic System (SBDS) or New Generation Star (NGS) Tester with May 1997 CD-ROM or later. Refer to the PCM Calibration Chart found at the end of this article for proper application.
