SOURCE: Have a Genesis MX-900 universal

There is a simple fix that will resolve most problems with the MX-900, including some that seem to be PCB failures like garbled screen text or the dreaded "stuck in test mode". If you have any problems with this procedure, call URC tech support so they can walk you through the process, called the "Boot Loader" procedure.
1.Open up battery compartment & remove 1 battery from cup.
2.Press & hold the "On" & "Mute" buttons simultaneously. While pressing both buttons, reinsert the 4th battery into the cup. You should get a blue screen with the word "Loader" on the page heading.
3.Download your programming to the remote. If you get an eror message pertaining to the USB connection, ignore it, as your file should have down-loaded successfully. If not, run the boot loader procedure again.
I have also seen instances wherein I "unlocked" whatever failure the unit was experieincing using the boot loader procedure. Before downloading the programming, however, I simply removed & then reinserted the batteries, & the unit retained it's previously programmed information. Most of the time, however, you will have to reinstall the custom programming. I have found this fix(the boot loader procedure) to work with about 90% of the MX-900s I have serviced, even for remotes that have seemingly died & will not boot up when batteries are installed.

In case if the problem persists, you need to call a technician on site for repair.

Thanks and Regards

Garage door closes but doesn't stay closed

if nothing is obstructing the door then there are 2 possibilities:
a) your limit switch for closing is too low and the closer detects the motor stall as the floor is reached, then opens in case it's a kid under the door.
b) your tracks and garage door are mis-aligned, causing excessive force to trigger the reversal. Make sure the door closes easily by hand.

I bought a chamberlain clicker and want to program it for use with a POWERLIFT garage door

This remote is compatible with your power lift. It should of come with a manual on how to program it as well. Each opener has a different sequence to program it so I can't just give a general answer. On a chamberlain powerlift look for the color of the button while programming it. If you need a copy of this manual you can get one at Thanks BB

First unwire the wall button. If the light will go off now replace the wall button. If not then you will need to replace the logic board on this unit( for replacement). Protect this with a surge protector as well 900 joules or higher. Thanks BB
