it is, however sometimes the cost is the limiting factor. If you give me the model number and brand I can try and find some prices for you. But some of the major tool manufacturers offer a MAX RATE repair that sets the limit on how much it will cost you and they will fix everything. If it is less then you pay less.

If you mean the cord you can find the part number by going to milwaukeetool.com and you will need the serial number for the correct one. Or you can also go to ereplacementparts.com. You will need to solder the wire ends to push into the swiitch. To release the old cord straighten one leg of a paper clip and insert next to the wire and gently pull out the old cord. UNPLUG tool first and make note of where the wires came from. The Milwaukee site also has a wiring diagram that you can download. Let me know if you need more assistance.
