Question about Sanyo Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

PLV-60HT: When I turn the projector on the fans come on briefly but as soon as the lamp gets power the unit shuts down, everything goes off including the LED status lights on the top panel. Projector has to be unplugged for 15 seconds (or so) and then plugged back in to get the LED status lights back on. I have replaced the bulb and tried the recessed "reset" button... what else is there to try?

Could be a fan sensor or a faulty power supply.

Why is my sanyo plv wf20 projector shutting down after I turn it on.

The fan may be out that keeps the bulb cool. The shutdown is to protect the lamp from overheating. Do you have any flashing indicator lights on the projector after turning it on?

PLV-Z2000 Projector Your question about PLV-Z2000

what about the Projector Condition leds: POWER, WARNING and LAMP REPLACE? How are they lit? For good measure you should also clean the air filter (the projector might not be getting enough air to cool the lamp)

Power indicator /red/ and warning led/red/ are lighting after ea 15 sec. a lamp never start and fans goes in OFF mode. I checked power supply lines S5V,S-5V,S16V on the Main Board . I checked unit lamp...

If power indicator light red and warning indicator red flashing than according to user manual :-
The projector has been cooled down enough and the temperature returns to normal. When turning ON the projector the WARNING indicator stops flashing. CHECK AND CLEAN THE AIR FILTER.
Experience:- 1. if the temperature is very low than temperature sensor maybe misbehave.
2. If anyone fan not working
so please you check fans.
(If lamp or lamp ballast unit faulty than after a time period the lamp indicator light ON not a warning indicator. I experience many times if any fan in projector are broken or jamed the temperature light if present otherwise warning light ON or flashing)

Starts to power on,then shuts down

Have you checked the filters? I have a Sanyo PLV-75 and had a similar problem.  The normal fan would come on when the unit was first started, then after a few seconds the secondary fan came on and then the unit would shut down.  Called tech support and they asked if I had cleaned the filters. I did it, and it worked great.  Check the manual for where the filters are and hit them first before getting a new bulb.  Hope it helps!
