Question about Samsung LE40R73BD 40 in. HD-Ready LCD Television
MY samsung 40in LCD takes so long to turn on, the red lights clicks on/of for several minutes before a coloured box appears in the left hand top corner then the picture comes on. Other wise everything is fine. I do have sky & Wii and surround sound connected and this only happens when the tv is cold or been off for a while.
Bad capacitors unplug the tv and let it sit for a day. Lay the tv flat and take all the screws out the back you want to look at the top right corner of the pcb ( power board you cant miss it ) you will probably notice 4 swollen / leaking caps replace these and the tv should work fine. The tvs protection circuit is stopping it from starting your straining the PSU by using it with the caps blown if your not comfy soldering phone a local electronics company im sure they can help you out. you can easily disconnect the headers from the psu board and take that for repair.
i used 35v 1000u caps the caps i removed were 10v 1000u
