The spin cycle is run by a belt-I'd say something is stuck like the drum or you just have a bad belt or probably both. you'll have to do a tear down to see for sure-to check bearing in tube try to turn by hand to see if its tightCheers-Denny

Your bearings may be going.. does it make a racket as it spins too.. bearings come as sealed units, when they break down oil leaks, hence the stains.

It will only get worse so have it sorted to save your washing.

SOURCE: GE Profile top load washer purchased 2003 water comes out from under washer when spin and drain cycle on. this not mentioned in trouble shooting area. think it is water pump or whatelse can it be?

It has to be in the water exit path somewhere - is there a pump sump inspection? Is there a hose split? Likely the drain hose, or where it connects to the machine. Has the pump split open? Can you remove the machine cover and inspect it while it is doing a cycle so you can see where the water is coming from?

SOURCE: GE Profile front loader washing machine is leaking

Hello, this is usually the door seal, most machine incorporate a one piece combined door seal and outer drum seal(often just called a DOOR GASKET), the door seal are put in on the front panel first in the factory, then the drum assembly is put in and the seal pushed over the outer drum. This means a lot of stripping down has to be done just to replace the drum to the door seal.

My ge profile wpdh8800 won't fill with water in any wash cycle. Have done all the troubleshooting suggestions, including cleaning lines and even turning off power to hopefully reboot electronics. Any...

You need to remove top cover to get to inlet valve (part where hoses attach). Be careful while testing parts for 120 volts. The inlet valve usually has 2 electric coils on it, some have 3 coils. While the machine is in fill cycle, check for 120 volts across each set of terminals on each coil (round plastic part with 2 terminals at each end). 1 coil is hot water--one is cold water (in some 3 coil valves 3rd coil is warm). If 120 volt is present depending on if machine is on hot or cold, the electronic boards and controls are good. Problem will be with the inlet valve itself and will need replaced. If no voltage, problem may be with control board or wiring.

Ge profile front load washing machine demo mode

I called General Electric and this is the solution:

unplug the machine for 2 to 3 minutes.

Plug it back in the wall

Do not put the power back on.

Open the door

Press the start/pause button 5-6 times

The display will say demo exiting...

This works. Also don't forget to remove the shipping bolts before starting your washing machine!!

Good washing!!

GE profile washer overflowing

A common problem is the valve that is located in the back.it is under the screen and screws out.The rubber deteriorates and when it tries to pump out the water it goes back into the washer.
