How do I fix a washing machine that doesn't fill with water, but spins and drains? Water enters the detergent holder, but doesn't seem to make it to the tub. Draining can be heard as well, even though

Hum for one a front load H.E washer should not be having very much suds as u claim it had. Are u aware the front loads are made to use very little soap and if u use to much soap hence alot of suds, ur SUDS SENSOR will act up and can shut down any wash cycle. a trick is to run just water and some vinagar trough a couple loads if u can get to wash at all. Another issue u may have is a plugged line somewhere. or loose unconnected water hose line hence the water on the ground effect. u may want to check ur flow line from the entry into the tub where the water at the moment I cant recall the name of the gadget but it can get clogged or damaged and hinder the water from entering the tub

Machine keeps icing up and switching off

When you say ices up do you mean the line ices up back to the compressor. is water overflowing over sump tray? or is it dumping out drain? If you are not getting water over the evaporator plate then it will frost up the evaporator plat all the way back to the compressor.if the water is dumping into the drain during freeze cycle check the dump valve this will not let sump tray stay full of water. make sure water filter is good as this will not let sump tray stay full fast enough. is water pump pumping water over the evap plate?

My whirlpool washer seems to be letting water back flow from the drain line.

sounds like the drain line is too low it needs to be higher than the water level when running a full load...you can check this buy filling with water and stoping the cycle and see where the water stops draining im sure it will stop at the level of your drain line in the back of the washer. the drain line in the back of your washer should come out of the bottom of the washer and then go up to a drain pipe..if its lower than the full water level of the washer then gravity will take over and drain the water... i hope this helps

Washer doesnt drain water i already checked pump it washes but when it comes to spinning and draining water it just doesnt work

follow your drain line back into the machine, it will connect to a plastic "box" at the bottom of the machine. Can't remember the correct nomenclature for this part but it creates a type of venturi effect that helps eject the water (speed it up) on out the drain line. If that is plugged up with debris it will not drain a bit. Very easy to replace.

Im my washing machine the problem , the water coming in

Check the drain line for kinks or obstructions. Check the pump. Remove the hoses from the pump and use a flashlight to look into the suction port. Look for anything clogging the pump (like the occasional stray sock) and check the pump impeller. Make sure there are no missing or broken blades on the impeller and that the impeller spins freely. If any blades are missing/broken or if you cannot get the impeller to spin freely, the pump is defective. Hopefully it's just a clogged pump, drain line, or jammed impeller. Sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.

Not getting clothes clean

Check your drain hose for siphoning. this is a common problem, make sure only about 8 inches is sticking into the drain, and the drain line is higher then the mid point of the washer, ex: drain hose must not leave the washer and head directly to the floor, must make a loop upwards, then enter a drain appx. 3+ft high. Drain hose from washer not to enter drain plumbing more then 8".

Front Loader Wont Purge Water and enter Spin Cycle

it is the drain pump, it is nt working due to lack of power entering its supply line or there is something stuck in the impeller,or its winding failed, u can check it by observing or wait till machine reach the drain cycle when you hear a humming sound during the drain cycle, you isolated already the supply to the drain pump it means the drain pump is working but there is something blocking the hose, impeller and or the pump motor is weak already. if so, call an authorized servicer or service fr the company to do the job, or if u want to fix it by yourslf, first lay down the hose of the machine at floor level, water will comes out, drain it,with that it means no problem with the water line from the tub of the machine to the drain hose, remove the back cover from there u can see the pump get a mechanical plier to remove the clamp, slide the pump or unscrew it if is installed that way then u can check now the pump physically, sometimes small pins is blocking the impeller if there is nothing and when you touch pump is so hot-it is electrically defective-the winding is weak or just what i have said earlier it is blocked or mechanically defective -replace the pump assy- u can order it -try www. repair clinic .com

Washer won't fill up

The problem is most likely your drain. If there is no air break at the drain,( a gap where the hose goes into the pipe so air can enter) Your water will siphon out of the machine. Also make sure your drain pipe is higher than the tub of your washer and you only want about 6 inches of the drain hose sticking into the pipe. If you have water coming back out of the pipe when the machine drains, you will need a plumber to clean the pipes or replumb the drain. New washers pump out faster than older ones did and they need a good drain to handle the flow.
