If you have a Remington pole saw, then no you cannot not get a bigger saw to fit the pole you have. The pole was only designed to fit and support the weight of the saw it came with.

How to attached pole to the saw?

difficult to know what you mean
if you are talking about a pole saw then it is a saw attachment that is used on the end of a straight shaft trimmer
It has a small chain saw fitted to it and by adding extensions to the shaft of the trimmer you can reach up and cut branches at a height of up to 4 meters from the ground
there is no pole for a regular chain saw as this would place too much weight at the length and besides how would the throttle be worked.

I want to attach the chain saw to the pole

ahhhg i would say NO if its made for a pole get the right pole ! you will find that the first time you use it you come back with just the pole and no saw.. and the you break you neck trying to retrieve your saw way up in the tree.. WHY U ASK ? the saw blade will get pinched . means stuck in the cut. and will need another saw to rescue it.. fun huh .if you need a little extra height use a truck bed. never use a ladder . good luck be safe..in the gas tank is a filter. you can use a clothes hanger to fish it out, remove it blow it it out backwards with air . or replace it. if this don;t work buy new fuel lines ,carb kit, carb cleaner spray(parts master #1736 my fav) and a new spark plug. when doing the carb just replace gaskets and diaphragm .. don't worry about all the other stuff in the kit, you are just washing the carb to get gunk or dust out of it .. all back together and wa la.. ning ning niiing.. back in biz.. one other thing that goes bad is the crank shaft seal( the 1 next to the clutch) and it can be a pain to replace ! vote if'n i was of help.. remember BUY USA MADE PRODUCTS.. Am I wise to purchase a Remington Pole Saw or should look for another manufacturer? Which Remington Pole Saw would you purchase: a. 18V Cordless b. 10" Electric

Remington Saws have ceased operations and, unless you like to make your own replacement parts, they are prone to failure. The gearbox is sealed and the motor brushes are not available anywhere. Look elsewhere!

I need to replace just the saw portion the pole is good?

If you want to check for replacement parts, there is a supplier that carries most parts for the Remington electric chainsaws and the pole saws.

They also sell new ones, so you could buy just the chainsaw for the pole saw, if you wish.

Here's their web site for both replacement parts and new chainsaw products for the Remington line.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

I have the model 108526-01 Remington pole saw which has the round pole with a plastic compression nut (which recently broke). Can I buy the newer octagonal pole and if so, does it use the same saw mounting...

I have the sollution, had the same problem with the broken compression nut. Just use two hose clamps, one to hold the pole extended and the other clamps around compression base. Its a cheap easy fix and it work great fo me. The Real Mr.Fixit
