Could be your video card driver needs an update. Maybe a memory problem like that other guy said too. Try going online and searching for an updated driver for your video card first and if that doesn't help buy a stick of RAM and at least double your memory. Hope this helps.

I have a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix 3.8 V6. Can I use the Lubegard Instant Shudder fix in my car?

Question edited for clarity, Lubegard and Shudder, not 'shutter'.
Question moved to vehicle category.

Yes you can.
  • Transmission Instant Shudder Fixx is a concentrated friction modifier formulated for eliminating torque converter shudder problems - instantly
  • Works with any automatic transmission fluid except Ford Type F and CVT applications

Shudder could be the lockup torque converter if it is an automatic transmission. Another one would be the drive axles. Check the CV joints and u-joint in the drivetrain. If the shudder comes and goes with load changes, it could be either. However, to tell if it is the torque converter, watch the tachometer when the shudder occurs. If the RPM rises slightly, then drops off as the shudder stops, it is the torque converter. There is an additive for this issue that can be purchased an any parts store, called shudder-ease. Hope this helps you.

Automatic shudders on some gear changes.

This car has both options of auto transmission plus manual gear **** so the only reason it can shudder when the clutch is not fully released and thus takes some time, that's when it shudders, but on accelerating this will not happen cos the centripetal clutch has enough torque such that the clutch is pressed hard to the cam & therefore no shuddering. On cruising speed the probability of clutch slipping making the car shudder. Thus changing the clutch assembly ought eliminate this problem....sodeep

2001 Towncar Shudders while accelerating

Yes, it's a torque convertor shudder. Flush your transmission fluid and add an additive to help shudder (shudder fix, etc). That fixes most of the vehicle, the others will need a convertor. Try to keep transmission serviced around every 30k will help this concern.
