Question about Vehicle Parts & Accessories
If it is just a relearn and you have no issues with the security system the procedure to "teach" the vehicle the transponder code for the "chip" in your key is as follows. Turn the ignition and just turn the key enough so the engine turns for just a second. Not enough to try and start the vehicle jusy enough to "bump" the engine quickly. Once you bump the engine, release the key and leave the key in the "on" or "running" position. Your security light should be flashing if you're dealing with a security issue but that doesn't happen 100 percent of the time. Leave the key in the on position for 10 minutes. If the security light is on or flashing it should shut off after 10 minutes. After the 10 minutes turn the key off and without removing the key turn it to where you bump the engine like before and repeat the 10 minute wait time. You will need to do this 3 times totalling 30 minutes. The 3rd time turn the key back off and without removing the key try and start the vehicle. This is the only procedure that can be done without diagnostic equipment and providing you don't have an issue with a part in the security system or there isn't another problem, this should reprogram your vehicles security system. Hope this works for you and hope I was able to help....

the manual says to put the key in the ignition, turn on all the way, but don't start the car and leave for 10 minutes until the theft light stops flashing. turn off all the way and star it up. good luck.
