Where is the fuel filter located on a 2000 harley davidson fatboy

To clean the carbureted model's filter, you drain the gas from the tank, remove petcock and filter, clean filter with compressed air, reinstall. The fuel injected model requires that you drain the tank, remove the entire pump assembly from inside the tank, and then replace the filter (it can't be cleaned).

The carbureted model's filter is supposed to be inspected and cleaned every 20k miles. The fuel injected model's filter is supposed to be replaced every 25k miles.

How can i change my 87 bronco II 2.9 L from fuel injected to carbureted ?

You'll need three things to get this done: An independent distributor that doesn't require a vehicle computer, and intake manifold with a bolt pattern that'll work with a carburetor, and a carburetor. Oh, and a low-pressure fuel pump (the high-pressure one in the tank has to GO). You'll have to figure out the gauge cluster or replace all the gauges that rely on the computer.

The swap itself is shockingly easy, once you have those three parts. It's all bolt-together, and suddenly your vehicle just got a LOT simpler and more intuitive to work on. The intake might be a little hard to find, unless that block was available in earlier years with a carburetor (in which case it's a shoo-in)... but even if you can't find an earlier intake, it may not be too hard to make an adapter plate that'd fit the carb.

You'll need to deal with connecting the low-pressure fuel pump to that tank. One approach is to take the high-pressure pump out of the tank, rip its guts out, and use it as a big pickup tube for the external low-pressure pump.

Me, I love carbureted vehicles. I'd rather have carbureted than injected ANY day.

Car keeps flooding

is your car fuel injected or carburetted? if you say flooding i assume you have a carburetor, my only problem is your car is '05 which is usually fuel injected. but let's say it is carburetted, open carburetor and clean, check float valve for debris which prevent it from closing when reservoir is full, flooding occur when this happen. diy or have a mechanic do it for you.

Where is an 88 dodge aries fuel filter

1 Locate the fuel filter on your carbureted engine by first raising and supporting the hood. Both carbureted and fuel injected fuel filters look the same. The filter resembles a metal canister that measures 5 to 6 inches. The fuel filter in the carbureted Ram 50 sits on the driver's side of the engine, back against the firewall. The filter's fuel lines mount on the bottom and top of it. The bottom line is held in place by a nut. The top line mounts to the filter with a banjo-bolt. (You can remove the fuel filter with a socket wrench and an adjustable wrench. Place a shop towel under the filter to soak up any fuel that may spill.)
2 Locate the fuel-injected engine's fuel filter by first applying the Ram 50's emergency brake. Raise the truck forward of the rear driver's-side tire with a hydraulic jack. Set a jack stand 3 inches from the hydraulic jack beneath the frame rail.
3 Slide under the truck near the gas tank. Right where the frame rail ends, just in front of the gas tank, you should see the fuel filter. It's the same size and shape of the carbureted fuel filter. The one difference is both of the fuel lines mount on top of the fuel injected filter. (To remove this fuel filter, loosen the hose clamps on the fuel lines with a Phillips screwdriver. Before you pull the hoses off the filter, set a metal catch pan beneath it to allow the fuel in the lines to drip into it.)

1200 sportster 12000 km fuel injection model 2008 the problem ,,,, i cannot keep a steady speed in 2-3 at recommended shift speeds it keeps jerking faster and slower

This sounds like the fuel air mixture is too lean for some reason. Since I don't work on fuel injected engines, the only thing I can recommend is that you take it to a dealer or aftermarket shop that may can change the fuel map on your bike. My knowledge of these systems is very limited. I base my hypothesis on what would cause that problem in a carbureted engine.

Good Luck

My fuel selector valve is out on my 86 gmc 3/4 ton truck and was wondering if i could just tie both my tanks together as one

It depends on wheter or not your truck is fuel injected or carbureted. If it is fuel injected I'm pretty sure that you have an electric fuel pump in each tank so that wouldn't work. If yours is carbureted you should have a manual fuel pump and with a little plumbing you could probably make that work. I've never tried it before though.

Is the 1992 isuzu rodeo, automatic - fuel injected? that is, do you need to give it any gas to start?

No, you don't have to press the accelerator in fuel injected engines. That's a general rule for all fuel injected engines.

Carbureted engines require that you push the accelerator slightly when starting.

Good luck on using your fuel injected vehicle.

I have a 1995 eurocan camper 2.5L - 5 cylinder It idle's faster than normal +/- 1200 rpm the normal rpm is 900. what can I do ?

According to my resources the idle speed should be serviced or inspected every 15,000 mi.

There is probably a screw that you can turn to adjust the idle speed down.

Is it carbureted or fuel injected? If carbureted, I would be willing to bet there is a screw to turn on the carburetor.

If fuel injected, they usually are not adjustable, but the table in my online resource says it is serviceable.

Good luck to you.
