Jason,
MOST refrigerators get there cold from the freezer side and circulate it via a fan that's also normally inside the freezer. There are three motors normally in a refrigeration system. The inside Evaporator fan motor that circulates air across the evaporator coil inside the box, the Condenser fan motor near the compressor that cools the freon after compression, and the compressor itself. If you open the doors (and sometimes you may have to hold in the door switches) do you hear a fan running? If not you could have a couple things going on: 1. The fan(s) has failed. 2. The freezer Evap coil may of iced over and the fan too is frozen stopped. 3. Your condensing unit:(compressor, condenser fan, condenser coils) has a problem.
It is important to know if the compressor itself is running. If there is a loose connection to the compressor via the start/over load relay (normally attaches directly onto the compressor), or if the start/over load otself is bad the compressor will not run. Best way to tell is via gauges but I doubt your frig has ports. Check to see if your compressor is really hot. Could be bad start/over load relay or bad compressor. Try unplugging your frig for say 30 min then, with your hand on top of a cool compressor, plug the frig back in and see if compressor smoothly vibrates for at least 5 min without becoming very hot or shutting off even though fan continues to run. The fact your fan is running TYPICALLY means the thermostat is calling for lower temps and the fan/compressor kick in together.

Hi steve thanks for your help. at the moment i am sat on kitchen floor and the comp has been running about five mins and is still cool to touch ?????
Ok, that helps. So we go from here. If you open the freezer do you hear the fan running. It may be a soft sound but hearable.
Second, do you see any ice build up on the back wall of the freezer compartment? You probably have one of the following problems: A failed defrost system, meaning the defrost timer and/or element has gone out and your evaporator coil is frozen over; you are low on freon and this too will cause your evap coil to freeze over until the freon drops so low all cooling stops; or there could be a clog in the capillary tube which is the very small diamiter copper tube that carries the condensed liquid freon to the evap coil. Unless you have gauges, a licence to buy freon and service valves (or a buddy with such) you are limited to what you can do. Here is my advice:1. unplug the frig and let it defrose over night, unplug the frig and empty the freezer to remove the back cover to look for ice, a frozen fan and if so get your hair dryer out and melt the ice so you can test the fan and the defrost element (you will need a volt/ohm meter to do the element check. You can do it.
Hi steve , thanks for your help, after my last msg to you on sunday the comp was cool after it had been on a hour it got warm. As for ice there is none as it has been turned of for a week, so there is no sign of freezing nor fridge cooling the temps are both saying 20.!!!!!! Very frustrating.
For the comp to get warm is ok. I suspect you have lost your freon charge.
Find a refrigeration friend to put service taps on and measure/recharge the frig. I recomend adding sealant.
excuse my ignorance then steve does this mean re gassing ?? I have been told that because its r134 gas it cannot be done ? (dodgy gas!!!) App new ones are 600 gas . Can the gas type be changed by a refr.... people ?
No. R134a is still a current use refrigerant and its cheap!
This is whats called a "Blend" refrigerant and at most you will need a pound of it at about $30
Is this what you mean to re gas it ? i think it says on the badge somewhere there's 90g .
Never heard the term re-gas. It is called recharging atleast when you use the same refrigerant. It is not necessary to use anything else but R134a.
HI Steve just to let you know i have pa
Hi Steve just letting you know i had company come out and checked out app the comp is fine but it has gone to vacum ..... suspecting aleak in pipes at the back or in the wall . Anyway beyond repair GREAT.......

SOURCE: The Fridge of my Rangemaster SXS Fridge Freezer is freezing up
my ice depenser is only making a couple of ice cubes the others are staying iin the ice cube tray
SOURCE: rangemaster sxs u109100 fridge freezer temp in fridge +15
Hi - can't solve it but ours has started doing the same - ours will only work if the fridge temperature is selected to 9 C (press the button under ~Ref Temp until cycles round to 9C) then it controls to 9 - if the temperature is set to 5C then it seems to give up and goes back to 15 - don't know why but will investigate more
