Locking your iPad requires entering a four-digit pin every time you turn on your device.
Select the "Settings" icon from the home screen.
Tap the "General" tab on the left side of the screen.
Hit "Passcode Lock" on the right side of the screen.
Select the "Turn Passcode On" option at the top of the screen. You also can elect to change your password and when it is required.
Enter in a four-digit pin that will act as your password.
Select "Erase Data" if you would like extra security. This option will erase all data on your iPad if the incorrect password is entered 10 times in a row. You should carefully consider this option because it can be quite risky, especially if you tend to forget passwords.
you can not get passed the password screen. your only option is to do a full factory restore. if its an apple product and you have synced it before ,then you will get all your stuff back. if its android you will loose everything unless youve done a back up before
there is a small reset hole in the edge use paper clip to hold for 5 seconds see if fingerprint option reappears . post picture of opening screen , and use edge of piece paper to clean debri around print sensor button.
