cold be intefernce from any other electronic device... potentially at a neighbours. even though mifddle of the night, could be microwave, kettle, electric blanmket, heaitng system, etc etc ... any appliance. If on the 2.4ghz wavelength could also be a computer wireless network nearby? good luck with finding and isolating - worst case, take it back and get one on the 1.8ghz ... which is reserved for these devices, and cordless phones, etc

Keeping the LED monitor portion on the entire time sucks the battery pretty quickly on mine. It has an automatic shut off button but if you're like me, you probably check it constantly. I found that when I'm not turning on the LED portion and also turning it off when he's awake and with me, it keeps the charge MUCH better.

Your monitor has become unpaired with your camera. Follow the instructions in the manual to pair them again (basically, tell the monitor piece to Add New Camera while you press the Pair button on the camera). The manuals can be downloaded from www.summerinfant.com.

I had the same thing happen! I didn't have a solution when I first read your post but I got mine to work again. When I took the battery out of the hand held unit (the parent one) and put it back in it stared to work again. By that time the battery had gone dead because it had been on for a day while I struggled to find a solution (it stopped working in the middle of the night). I am going to email the company as well. Maybe there is a defect in the product? I know the ones sold a few months ago were recalled because the battery was overheating and causing the monitor to work. For now mine works but I figure notifying the company may help because if others are having this same problem there might be a defect and they can recall the product or at least replace it when it happens to us again.
